fabfouremily inspired a bit of an early Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett session. Piper at the Gates of Dawn and Saucerful of Secrets. Dozed off about half-one this morning listening to Crazy Diamond (the Barrett box-set, not the song). Woke-up a little bit ago and put it back on.Glad to hear I inspired you to listen to such genius music. No need to ask you if you enjoyed it, I suppose.
No need to ask at all! The trouble with several thousand albums, you don’t, can’t, listen as often to all as often as you might like. Sometimes you need a prompt to remind you you haven’t heard something in a while. Thanks for the prompt.

No problem!
I haven´t listened to the White Album or Sgt. Pepper recently and I really need to. It´s just finding the time (being a student, it´s not something I have that much of). Especially becuase listening to a record isn´t just sticking it on and doing the washing-up, you have to sit down and listen to it, properly.

Bluebird by Wings… trying to overpower the pop tart next door who is blasting Taylor Swift… again. That’s all she plays, oh, and Christina Aguilera. I’m so glad my stereo is just slightly louder.
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

Today I am listening to the 4CD “The Willie Dixon Story”, 100 tracks of blues greatness; and the 2CD/1DVD 20th Anniversary Edition of the Manic Street Preachers first album, Generation Terrorists. Both bought yesterday at HMV.

Not right now but I spent yesterday afternoon listening to Simon and Garfunkel and The Beach Boys . Enjoyed it very much, and to think that a year ago I refused to listen to anyone but The Beatles haha I was so mad! Glad I´ve found other graet music out there though
EDIT: I find though that I can listen to all Beatles songs (although Revolution 9 only very rarely), yet The Beach Boys more ‘pop-y’ songs I´m not mad about.

Past couple of days I’ve been on a Dylan kick. Have my own compiled set called, with great originality, “Chronology”. At the moment it runs to 83 CDs-worth, without any recording cropping up more than once. It a real b*tch when I get something early and everything has to be rejigged to put it in its right place. At the moment I am halfway through 1965 (Volume Twelve)!

One After 909 – from the Anthology. Personally, I like this version better than the Let It Be version.

Got tonnes of couresework this weekend and I´ve got to start it all now. So,
– kettle on
– stick iPod in docking station
– go onto ‘music’
– find The Beatles
– press shuffle
And away I go!

From Me To You by The Beatles. It’s a very good band that barely anyone has heard of.
