Ostrich steaks (2x125g), peas and mash with a red wine gravy (or “jus” as I believe it should be called).

I was tempted by the kangaroo steaks but they were sold out! blue-meanie

We are probably one of the few countries that routinely eat the creatures on our coat of arms.

Ice Cream.

Flavour: Mexican Chili chocolate with Churros.

Officially the weirdest combination I have ever tried in an ice cream; oddly effective.

You haven’t lived, until you’ve had Eagle Parmesan. The meat is a tad greasier than California Condor, but more tender than Whooping Crane.

I made mince and tatties in the slow cooker (4 hours cooking time). So much nicer than the normal method of on the hob. Leftovers for when i get in tomorrow night. stuart-sutcliffe

^ What are tatties? What does “on the hob” mean? You know we have to educate @Beatlebug 😉

Tatties = potatoes.

On the hob = on the stove. The rings on the top of the oven you put pans on to cook things.

This is going to be a tricky one. Decided on a takeaway. Opened up Just Eat to discover a new Chinese has opened. Have a look at the menu, but pretty much know what to expect. You know how it is, whichever cuisine it is, menus are nearly always pretty much the same.

And did it let me down? Like hell! Scrolling through dishes that are on every menu, give or take. But I’m probably going to try it. After all, first time I use any Chinese I only want to check two things – Crab Meat & Sweetcorn Soup and House Special Rice. They get those right and they go on the approved list. Crab Meat & Sweetcorn Soup. Tick. House Special Rice. They don’t have one.

But keep on going down the menu just in case, get to Cold Dishes followed by Hot Dishes, around 60 dishes I’ve never seen on a takeaway menu. Quite a lot quite adventurous. Beef Tripe in Spice Sauce. Crispy Jellyfish in Special Hot Sauce. Pork Trotters in Soy Sauce. Pork Intestine in Spicy Dry Pot.

WTF! Wow!

Someone has a menu to explore, and a decision to make about how brave he wants to get!

We just had some takeaway from the Italian restaurant down the road. Mixed salad with bleu cheese dressing, baked ziti with sausage and garlic bread. Now, we are settling in for an evening of watching horror type stuff.

Laying low tonight as the Missus has a nasty cold.blue-meanie

What I want to know is how she caught a cold from @Ron Nasty? Has she been to London in the past week?

I just ate one of the Mr Kipling Cherry Bakewells my daughter unwisely left out in the kitchen.  If she’d left cheesecake, the damage would have been worse..
