A friend bought the Thanksgiving Dinner in 2004, so we tried them. They were profoundly nasty. He should have kept them unopened and sold them.

Chorizo is always good. I’m drinking cold cocoa and smoking my pipe now (weird combination?)

Chicken and chorizo pizza. First time had chorizo on a pizza and its fabulous.
I feel uncultured, I had to Google chorizo- my excuse is I don’t eat pork
I am eating nothing at the moment but I did eat some raisins a couple of hours ago and I’m still full.

Graham Chapman is one wonderful person, one of my favourites of the Monty Python team.
I discovered chorizo through eating it in a toasted sandwich earlier this year and loved it so was delighted to find it was one of the pizza topping options.
I’m getting my regular bacon craving having not had it in a few weeks. Too late for tonight (plus i have none in the house).

Yep I love Chapman, I’m (hopefully) getting his autobiography for Christmas and avoiding Fry’s new book like the plague.
Toasties are divine, cheese being a core ingredient and whatever else you wanna throw in- it’s not a toastie if there is no cheese.
I get really weird cravings, I had one a couple of months ago for pineapple pizza- I’ve never had pineapple pizza

I too am avoiding Fry’s latest book like the plague, tho it may be for very different reasons.
Cheese is the bane of my life, i could eat it daily in my lunch and dinner but try not to. Cheese toasties (with nearly any reasonable filling), now there is something i haven’t had in a while and need to remedy. Trouble is i bake my own bread and its not ideal for toastie makers as i can never cut it thin enough.

He is a love/hate character though is Stephan. I just love QI!
Good on you for baking your own bread, I can’t be bothered/don’t have enough time (mainly the former).
All hail the cheese toasties!

I have a bread machine, takes less than 10 minutes to measure everything out and put in the bowl. Once done bake for just under 4 hours and you have fresh bread. Sounds a long time but its really not if you plan properly and can do without bread.

Reading tonight’s posts inspired me… I am currently eating a cheese, smoked bacon and red onion toastie, with a second to follow!

My dad owns a bread machine too, and uses it all the time, for loaves of bread with pasta, for sandwiches, for pizza dough too.
I’m having ice cream cake. Love it!

Along with pizza dough I sometimes make jam in it as well. The pizza’s are fantastic but big, so big; at least two servings (not slices) if not three.
@Bulldog, can you explain the sandwich thing to me as i’ve never understood it. Surely the sandwich is just cutting off two slices of the break you make and inserting some kind of filling between them, so i’ve always found that function mystifying and therefore never bothered.

My dad’s bread machine just makes dough as far as I know (at least as far as he uses it.) I should have been more specific, we don’t usually use it for small sandwiches like PB&Js, we use it for subs and burgers. Basically he’ll just break off and/or form pieces of dough to make it sub/burger size then bake it. But you could do it the way you mentioned, he just doesn’t make loaves for those kinds of sandwiches.

Oh I wish! They’re handsome guys, interesting guys. I’m average, and pretty thin on top. But I love my pipes and some people have said they make me look distinguished!

I’m not eating right now. I’m thinking of eating.
In my fridge at the moment I have a dozen asparagus tips, 4 portobello mushrooms, smoked bacon lard-ons, smoked prosciutto, Bavarian smoked cheese, Stilton, antipasti selection (flame seared artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, and Cuquillo olives), and vegetable antipasti (chargrilled courgettes, seared peppers, and roasted mushrooms).
I am thinking asparagus wrapped in smoked prosciutto, bacon lard-ons, and Stilton, with portobello mushrooms, selections from the antipasti (artichokes, tomatoes, courgettes, peppers in different combos), bacon lard-ons, covered with Bavarian smoked cheese.
Sounds good to me!
I’m going to preheat the oven!
