I just had two of these cookies. Is Walkers a popular brand in Scotland, mmm? Is is sold widely anywhere else?
Yip. It used to be the brand you got when checking into fancy hotels alongside your fancy tea and coffee, i presume it still is but i havent stayed in a fancy hotel for a good while. I believe its a very well known, liked and respected brand and company.

They tasted very good. There’s one left. I’ll save it for a special occasion.

Did you dunk it in a cup of tea or have it dry?

Dry, letting them melt in my mouth. Then I washed them down with some cold milk.

You can get Walkers all over the place (and not just in fancy places now as I know you can get them on Ryanair flights, probably for something like £5). I love them. Where did you get them, Ahh Girl?

You can pick up boxes of them from supermarkets, even some pound stores have been seen selling them.
The folks at Walkers should be giving us all a free box each considering the publicity they are currently getting. And its surprising that there are two companies called Walkers in the food business; one who does the crisps and the other the shortbread, surely one lawyer is thinking l”ets get a lawsuit together”.

Yes, I’ve even seen the biscuits in drugstores here, though I’m more likely to find them in boutiquey-type food stores that specialize in international selections.

Ryanair sell Walkers biscuits for €3 and I always buy them because a fool and their money part quickly (that and I’m always flying at 5am and am typically starving)
About Walkers crisps, they shouldn’t even be called crisps anymore they’re more than half filled with air these days

They were in a food gift box set from a company called Figi’s. Mom gave it to hubby, but he let me swipe them.

Just found out that today is National Shortbread Day in the US. Perfect reason to enjoy my 3rd piece.
This site has other upcoming food days.

I had homemade Macaroni Cheese for my tea – and it tasted of cheese not flour.
Is there a restaurant chef career in the futue? Go to that hotel and show ’em how it’s made.

I have a haggis cooking in the oven that will be ready in about twenty minutes. Never tried haggis before but I’m always willing to try something once, and it was reduced – so only cost me 50p.

Nah. I don’t stand by timings and i doubt a customer would be that appreciative of being told very clearly that it will be ready when its ready so tough after having waited 10 minutes already. Plus i have a policy where if you eat my food then you immediately waive the right to sue me if you get poisoned. I doubt that would stand up in a Courtroom.

I have to confess that whenever I’ve posted here, I wasn’t actually eating the thing I reported “right now”, but a minute or so in the past.
Indeed! Just finished mashed spuds, sausages, mixed veg with a nice rich sauce. Oddly effective considering how hot it is down this way this time of year.

Ah, never mind. Anything goes!
Me, I’ve been drinking a lot of fresh orange juice lately. So much better than the sugary shop-bought version.

Ah nice – my wife makes a great orange juice – all mixed up with crushed ice in a juicer – my son loves it.
