A digestive biscuit. Yummy!
I found out that a grocery store in Texas (H.E.B.) carries “European Style” digestives. The nearest H.E.B. to me is about 3 hours away. I can order McVitie’s on Amazon, but they are more expensive. I’ll just have to order from Amazon until I can get to an H.E.B.

I found a pack of McVitie’s digestives at an Asian grocery store, of all things. The package was marked in Chinese characters as well as the English, so I suspect they were intended for the Asian market – perhaps Hong Kong and Cantonese diaspora, since Hong Kong is a former British colony and I understand they do have a taste for certain British foods such as digestive biscuits. I absolutely loved the flavoUr and texture of the biscuits, but alas! alack! woe is me! I went back and they didn’t have them anymore

Thanks @Von Bontee — I wonder if Yoko just took one biscuit, or did she grab a whole bunch to scarf down? If the former, George was clearly being irrational and one would reasonably conclude he was really angry at her for some other, deeper reason but used that as a pretext. If the latter, maybe the same thing but not necessarily. The other variable here is how strong was George’s reaction, and did John over-react to a relatively mild complaint by George? I should write a book —

I mostly appreciate the ridiculousness and triviality of the whole scenario! If it’s funny on multilevels to witness Paul McCartney himself, in 1969, laughing about the absurdity of people of 2019 discussing the legendary Beatles, and how “they broke up ’cause Yoko sat on an amp!”…well, then, it’s even funnier to contemplate the idea of a band rupture caused by a cookie – not exactly the same thing as a multi-thousand dollar piece of electronic music equipment.

Some (most) may go Ew! but a pig’s trotter, marinated in a mix of soy sauce, ginger and black pepper, cooked in my relatively new air fryer, heat right up at the end to crisp the skin.
Served with corn on the cob and brown rice mixed with 5 spice and mixed fried mushrooms

I can hardly hope to compete or compare with the elaborate recipes and menus that the much-missed gourmand Ron “Mark” Nasty used to regularly post on this thread, but, in his honor, I’ll post the full recipe of tonight’s dinner, as opposed to my usual “” or “cereal & coffee” offerings to this thread, usually offered out of idleness or a desire to increase the post count…
anyways, tonight’s menu is a salad-for-one made of
fried tilapia fish,
lettuce,
1/2 tomato,
1/3 apple,
1/2 banana,
one strawberry added for extra Beatle appeal,
marble cheese cubelets,
½ dollop of mayonnaise,
lotsa hot sauce,
soy sauce,
balsamic vinaigrette,
cayenne pepper,
cayenne sauce,
black pepper,
and bran flakes for crunchiness.
Shake well in sealed bowl, or toss with tongs, and serve with 750ml of sparkling Niagara Falls rosé wine, while listening to Ringo’s “Beaucoup Of Blues”
