Note by Ahhh Girl November 2014: posts 1-28 were in a thread titled “Vegetarianism”. I merged them into this thread.
I didnt know if I should put this in Paul McCartney . So I put it here because i don’t want Joe to get mad.
So is anyone else a vegetarian? I am! Ive been one for 3 months..
I’m realizing now that i make the worst threads.

I've been a vegetarian for about 23 years (I'm 34 now). My parents had been veggie since the 1960s, but brought me up to make my own choices. It wasn't that difficult to make the switch though – I only ate meat about once a month anyway, as we hardly ever had it in the house.
I can't imagine ever eating it now. I have a bit of a weakness for sweets/candy though, which contain gelatine. I should really stop that.
My mum tells a story of how there was a power cut where she and my dad lived in the early 70s. One of her work colleagues turned to her and said “But you would have been OK – you're a vegetarian” – like we don't eat hot meals. How attitudes have changed.

Thanks! I can imagine that would be difficult. But why dont you ask them.
Well, see, me parents don't exactally approve of my lifestyle choices. Like I told my mom I did not want to work at the resteraunt when I'm older, and she said why not, and I said I wanted to be a peace activist. Didn't go well after that.

If only meat didn't taste so good…I absolutely love veggies but if someone offers me a steak or ribs or something I'm not going to turn it down. I just compromise and eat meat in moderation and avoid fast food. I actually eat seafood more than anything.

I'm a meat-a-tarian but I'm honestly trying to cut down on my meat consumption. I've actually taken the lead from Paul McCartney 's website, where he promotes “Meatless Mondays.” So I'm trying to cook only meatless meals at least on that day.
If you were lucky enough to see Paul on tour this year, you realize what a strong argument he is for vegetarianism. He's 68 years old and still looks and sounds great.

Well now I think about it.. I don't eat meat on daily basis… sometimes only once a week because my doctor tells me to. And I don't look my age…
