It”s nice to hear updates from everyone
So to answer @Beatlebug’s question, the church believes in giving the LGBTQ people the same human rights as anyone else. After all we are all children of God . While the church doesn’t have support the practice of same sex marriage, it encourages its members to love everyone no matter who they are, because that is what Jesus would do.
The church also is how a big supporter of religious freedom, because that is really important for a healthy society. That includes being tolerant of others beliefs even if they are completely different from yours. The gospel was taken off the earth in about 90 AD due to lack of religious freedom, and it was able to be restored because of religious freedom in 1820 AD.
Here’s a couple videos produced by the church about this so you can get the answer straight from the horse’s mouth. This gospel is truly one of peace and love, and that’s why I love it.

@Ahhh Girl Jury duty sounds super fun…yay Good luck. I’m so happy I can’t be called on a jury for another 18 months.
I’m happy to know that the forum is still growing, and that you all still haven’t forgotten me

Oh yeah here’s a tack on for my email. Last night I had a Beatley dream.
It was preperation day and we were in Worland(Which is where we are going today for the day). We were going through some thrift shops. In the first one we went to there was a section of records, so I of course looked through them. I found this weird live Beatles record. Through dream logic I had previously bought a record like it, and so we went back to the house(Which in reality was like 3 hours away so this makes no sense) to grab the record and bring it to the store to see if it was the same record. It wasn’t the same one so I bought the other one as well. Then for some reason I hid the 2 records under these shelves while I looked some more records. Then we left the thrift store and I forgot to grab my 2 records.
Then we went to another thrift shop and they had a section of 45’s so I scanned through them, and I quickly found the Beatles section. Then I pulled out a 45 with a picture sleeve for Paul’s song “The Man”. The cover looked like the Say Say Say cover, but it had a blue overtone over Paul and Micheal, and in the middle there was a translucent purple face. I’m not sure who’s face though, maybe it was The Man’s face haha. Anyway I of course wanted to buy this, so I went up to the cashier to pay for it. My companion was anxious too leave the shop because he was bored and he wanted me to hurry up, so in my rush to the cashier I dropped the 45 just as I got up to the counter. I picked it up and gave it to the cashier and he was getting ready to have me pay for it, but then I saw that the 45 had shattered when I dropped it, so I told him nevermind. Then I went to put the 45 back, and I realized I had left my other 2 Beatles records at the other shop.
I then woke up and realized that I hadn’t actually bought any cool Beatles records, which was a tab bit sad.
Anyway, I thought maybe you guys would be interested to hear my Beatley dream.

I see that his subconscious is reminding him of his self-imposed Beatles ban. LOL.
I just looked up the stats, and Wyoming ranks third among states in Mormon population percentage (9%). Is WSC happy he mission is in a state that has more Mormons than a state like Pennsylvania where so few are Mormon that the percentage is like 0?

Hello,
This week occurred as followsMonday: We went to Worland for zone preparation day. It was pretty great. In the evening we did family home evening with a less active family in Lovell.Tuesday: We had correlation with our Lovell 1st ward mission leader. He is the GOAT. After correlation we went on splits with him over to the hospital to visit a couple of people.Wednesday: We met the family that we scheduled a lesson with last Wednesday, however we could not give them a lesson because they were busy. We also found an address that we have been looking for since I first got here.Thursday: We helped our ward mission leader in Bryon move some mattresses that were really heavy. That was basically my second workout for the day. Then we did weekly planning. We had a lesson with a recent convert in Cowley, and then in the evening we played volleyball with a bunch of less actives.Friday: I officially hit 6 months! We had seminary in the morning and encouraged the kids to invite their friends to mutual activities. In the evening we were able to contact a few less active members in Cowley.Saturday: We helped these members take down Christmas lights in the morning. They were actually the same Christmas lights we put up my first day here in Lovell. Way to bring my Lovell experience full circle. Later we had a lesson with an investigator. Then we celebrated my birthday/6 month mark with some brownies that we made.Sunday: Today was my birthday! We had 2 sacrament meetings and 2 ward council meetings. I also attended Sunday school for the first time in 11 weeks. In the evening our dinner appointment made cupcakes and superbowl food for dinner for my birthday. They also sang to me. It’s was pretty nice.My new area is Fairfield, which is near Great Falls. That means I will now be joining the big boys up in Montana.Well my time in Lovell comes to an end as I hit my 6 month mark in the mission. One could say that I have begun my Sophomore year as a missionary. Another could say that my time in Lovell concludes with the ending of Happiness Is A Warm Gun , the record is flipped to side 2, and the bright piano intro of Martha My Dear plays as I head off to Fairfield. I love side 1 as much as the next guy, but side 2 has some wonderful tracks on it, and I am excited to see what experiences it has to offer.William Shears CampbellPics1&2. Hey!
Well it’s a hello to all of you from Montana. It’s seems the towns keep getting smaller and smaller, becuse this one pretty darn small. I’ve gone from 6 eating places in my area to 3.
Also thank you all for the birthday wishes!
Monday: We went to Cody one last time for preperation day. In the evening we went and said goodbye to some people, and I worked on packing
Tuesday: I packed, we said goodbye to some people, then I had my last lesson in Lovell, then my last dinner appointment, then we went to the church and I was off to Billings for the night.
Wednesday: Wednesday morning at 5 o’clock, as the day begins, I headed off to the Mission home to start my trek to Fairfeild. We arrived to Helena and I met my new Zone Leaders. One of them has a sick first name, and the other is into collecting vinyl. We had a good discussion on the way to Great Falls about our record collections. At Great Falls I met my new companion. He is pretty cool. I drove to Fairfield because I am the designated driver for the area. This is my first time being designated driver on the mission. I don’t know why they thought it was a good idea to put the Vegas kid in charge of driving through the snowstorm that is Fairfield, Montana, but who am I to argue with the Lord.
Thursday: We went out tracting around as the wind began to blow and the sky began to snow. Around lunch time we went back to the house and decided to drive instead. We went around and met people in the ward, then in the evening I drove to the other side of our area and back for dinner in a descent blizzard. I can now say that I have driven through my first blizzard and survived. Hopefully but now likely it will be my last.
Friday: We went and attempted to make contact with some people in the area book. The weather was very nice compared to the previous day. I the evening we had a nice lesson with a less active member.
Saturday: We shoveled the snow on this lady’s walkway in the morning. In the afternoon we helped this guy chop some wood, and his family fed us dinner. In the evening we had a lesson with a couple that were recent converts. They were pretty cool.
Sunday: It was my first Sunday in 6 months where I only went to 3 hours of church. It was pretty cool. Afterwards we went to lunch at a members house, then we shoveled snow at this old lady’s house. In the evening we visited people in the care center.
Overall it was a pretty eventful week. I’m excited to serve in Montana, but driving through the snow will be an adventure. I’m excited, and by that I mean I’m slightly scared
I hope you all had a great week.

Some Beatly things this week, and there were a few.
So a friend of mine emailed me and told me that there is a new Beatles documentary on Netflix that I will most likely watch in 18 months. I don’t know if you all are aware, but I thought I’d let you all know. I’m not sure what the documentary is called. My friend is not a big Beatles fan, but she just let me knoe, because I am a Beatles fan.
I heard Beatles songs this week.
First was the Wings Over America version of Maybe I’m Amazed in a gas station.
The next was A Hard Day’s Night in Walmart.Speaking of Walmart my new companion had a tradition with his previous companion where they would go look at and sometimes buy hotwheel cars anytime they went to Walmart. So we went to look at the hotwheel cars and I saw Yellow Submarine cars, so of course at 97cents a piece, I had to buy them. I found 4 there, but aperently there are 6 in the set, so I’ll have to look for the other two today.
We went to lunch in Helena at this restaurant, and they had a bunch of picture discs hanging from he ceiling. There were 4 Beatles ones. One was a cut out one, which I attached a picture of. Then there was normal picture discs of Abbey Road , Sgt Pepper ‘s, and the From Me To You /Thank You Girl single. Sadly those were in the middle and difficult to get pictures of.
So my new zone leader, the one that is into record collecting, is not into the Beatles, but wants to explore them when he gets home. He asked me to give him the necessities. Since he is a record collecor, I explained the UK US album thing, so he would understand why PPM –Revolver are like impossible to find this country unless you buy the new reissues. He has heard some Beatles stuff in the past and he really likes it, so I don’t think there is too much selling I need to do, which is awesome. That being said we might have a new blossoming Beatles fan in the so ming months.
That is about all
Side 2, here I come!
Pics

2. The Yellow Submarine Hotwheels. These are the John, Paul, Geoge, and Ringo cars. There is also a Yellow Submarine car and a Blue Meanie car.

I assume you mean this gem:
12 reasonable people on a jury.
After we made a decision on the case, we sat in the jury room until we were called back to the jury box for the decision to be read in open court. While waiting, we were just bantering about. One juror said that this country was going to need to come together, and the sooner the better. I said, “That reminds me of a Beatles song.” Twelve reasonable people started singing
Come Together, right now, over me.
We sounded fairly decent in that tiny jury room.

Hello everybody!
It’s a busy week in Fairfield with moving(details in the weekly)
Monday: So one thing I learned when I first got here, the house that we live in was sold by our landlord to this lady and we had to be out by the end of the month. Well in the morning we learned that that was shortened to Sunday, and then Friday. The reason we had to move out earlier was because the lady wants to paint the house before she moves in. She did say that we can move into the trailer she’s in right now, but she’s not moving out of it until she paints the house, so basically she expects us to live on the streets for 2 weeks. Luckily this family had just recently moved to the other side of the ward and they let us move into their old house for the next couple weeks before they sell it. It the afternoon we headed to Great Falls and hung out with our zone. Then our zone went to the stake president’s house for dinner where there was a chocolate fountain! Then we had a meeting to see how the work is going in the stake.
Tuesday: In the morning we went to shovel this lady’s walkway, and went to contact a few people. Then we packed for a bit. In the evening we contacted a few more people and got some boxes for moving.
Wednesday: We had district meeting in the morning in Great Falls, then afterwards dictrict lunch with our weekly free Dairyqueen. Then we went back to Fairfield and contacted a few people and then went to pack some more. In the evening we went and visited some more people.
Thursday: We moved out practically our whole house and took it all to the for sale house we are temporarily residing in. In the evening we had dinner in Sunriver, and then drove home extremely slow into he horrible whitout. Then we spent the night in our new temperary residence
Friday: We spent the day cleaning the old house and getting anything we left the previous day. Then we got dinner and contacted a few people in the evening. As of Friday night we are officially homeless and squatting in someone’s vacant for sale house.
Saturday: We did a lot of missionary work to make up for our moving and cleaning the previous 2 days. we spent a lot for time walking to save miles. We were gonna contact in the evening, but the weather was so bad that the visibility was horrid and we had to call it a night.
Sunday: Church was canceled in every ward in this stake except Cutbank. We walked around Fairfield and visited a bunch of people and then stayed in a members house for the evening.
Anyway I hope you guys are doing well. Watch out for those crazy landlords, because you could end up homeless. However of you do, make sure you know where the vacant for sale house’s are.

Oh yeah, here’s what I found at Walmart last week. I didn’t find the last 2 Yellow Submarine cars, but I found another line of Beatles hotwheels These ones are based on the albums, and there’s 5 of them. I found A Hard Day’s Night Soudtrack, and Sgt Pepper . There’s also Rubber Soul , Magical Mystery Tour , and The White Album .

Hey All,
So yesterday it was George Harrison ‘s birthday. It’s such a shame that cancer had to claim him 17 years ago. He would be 75 this year.
Monday: The Elders from Cutbank came down and we hung out at the church with them here in Fairfield. We also got these things called f’reals at the gas station. They were pretty great.
Tuesday: We did some contacting in the morning, and then we went to Augusta. On the way to Augusta we visited this small ghost town called Gilman that used to compete with Augusta until the railroad came. Then everyone moved to Augusta. Only a few people live there. There’s actually a guy we met that lives in what used to be the town bank. After that we visited a few people in Augusta and then returned home a bit early so we could make it home by curfew.
Wednesday: We had zone conference. The Cutbank Elders came to stay the night before so that they could head to Great Falls with us for zone conference, but one of the Cutbank Elders got sick and couldn’t go. We decided that the other Cutbank Elder should go with me to Great Falls since this would be his first zone zonference, so he and I went to Great Falls, and my companion stayed back with the sick elder
Thursday: We walked around in Fairfield in the morning. In the afternoon we had house inspections. In the evening we went to the Blue and Gold dinner in Sunriver and played our ward mission leader in chess. My companion beat him, and I almost beat him.
Friday: We planned for the week, and then we made a list of people to go visit. We visited people as we made our way to Augusta. The drive back from Augusta was long due to the bad conditions and visibility in certain parts of the road.
Saturday: In the morning we visited some people in Fairfield then my companion wasn’t feeling well, so we rested in the afternoon. In the evening we contacted a few more people in town.
Sunday: It was George Harrison ‘s birthday! We went out church in Sunriver. Afterward we had lunch at a members house. Then we went back to the house and rested because my companion was still feeling pretty under the weather.
That’s about it for this week.
In the last few months while in my previous area, I’ve really learned the value of peace and love, and treating everyone with kindness and respect, no matter who they are and what they believe. Many times, different groups can be self righteous and narrow minded, unwilling to accept any outside ideas. This causes contention and conflict, which is not a way to achieve peace and love. As John Lennon says “peace can only be got through peaceful methods”.
No matter what your beliefs and opinions are, I would like to invite all of you to be accepting and loving of others, especially those with opinions that differ from your own. I also would like to challenge you all to learn about a belief or opinion that is opposing to your own. Instead of arguing with someone that thinks differently than you, allow them to explain their position and listen to them with an open mind. I’m not saying you have to change your opinions or beliefs, but see if you can learn something new.
I love you all! I want to thank all of you BBers for being awesome friends. I went through a bit of a depressing patch in my senior year and spending time on the forum helped me through it. I always talked about the BB to other people as my favorite “social media” site, and I’d also talk about how civil and nice the community was there. It really was the most perfect community that I’ve ever seen on the internet. I look forward to being a part of the BB community through my college years and beyond.
Peace and Love

No idea why the new thread in its new home doesn’t seem to have been started yet, but since next week’s email from WSC is due tomorrow, here’s the one from this week (posted here so as many get the chance to see it before the new one):
Hey all,
It’s another week in the big (snowy) sky of Montana. Month seven has now begun and spring might have a chance of entering in the coming weeks
Monday: We headed to Great Falls to do some shopping at the wonderful Walmart. Afterwards our district met up and went off to go bowling. It was pretty fun. My companion got first and I got last.
Tuesday: We went out and contacted some people around Fairfield in the morning, then contacted people on the way to dinner in the afternoon. We had dinner with a couple of recent converts that got baptized in November and December. They are pretty awesome.
Wednesday: It was a warm day. We had district meeting where I gave a discussion, and district lunch, then we headed home. After that we helped our squat providers put up a flat screen TV. We attempted again to visit the lady that we are trading houses with, however there was not much success.
Thursday: We headed to Great Falls again this week for interviews. President asked me what I wanted to see from transfers, and I said I wanted to see my companion break the record and stay in Fairfield one more transfer. In the evening we contacted a few people and then turned in for the night.
Friday: We woke up bright and early to teach Seminary to the high school kiddies. It was pretty fun. Then we went “shacting” for a few hours which is where you go tracting, but you also shovel the person’s walkway and driveway. In the evening we went and contacted some people on our way to dinner and then back home.
Saturday: We shoveled in the morning for like 4 hours. First we shoveled an older couple’s back yard walkway I Fairfield, then we went put into the fields and shoveled a 4 foot high drift for this lady so she could get this gate opened. However while we were doing this, somebody came in and plowed our driveway. After that we got lunch and then tried to visit a few people around Fairfield.
Sunday: We went to church in Fairfield. Afterward we worked on our Seminary lesson for Monday, and then had dinner with a recent convert.

A George Harrison quote I used in my district meeting discussion. Who knows what song it’s form? It’s a solo song.

Hugely disappointed to be having to post this again having seen @sir walter raleigh on the forum several times this week, not doing something he promised WSC he would. Means I’m having to post on the forum again earlier than I was ready to, but I will address my forum position elsewhere within the next few days, however I won’t let WSC down on what I said I’d do (and it took all of five minutes). Whatever my position turns out to be, I will make sure that WSC’s weeklies are posted by Tuesday in future:
Hey Everybody!
Well it’s the end of the transfer so next week we will find if I stay in Fairfield or if I go off to somewhere else. This transfer feels like it’s gone by so fast. I feel as though I’ve just arrived here.
Monday: We went to Great Falls to hang out with the other missionaries and to go shopping at Walmart. We went back to Fairfield for dinner
Tuesday: I woke up sick, so we didn’t really do anything at all but stay at the house. I attempted to get up a couple times, but everytime I tried walking around I would start feeling sick again. So not much happened.
Wednesday: I felt way better. The previous day we learned that our new house was ready to be moved into (meaning we are no longer homeless), so we got the keys in the morning and checked out the house. It was bigger than we thought. In the afternoon we headed to the Sunriver ward to visit some people, then after dinner we went back to the house to start packing.
Thursday: And thus the moving process bagan….again. We spent all day moving our stuff from the for sale house to our new house, and we got some members to help us move the furniture in the evening.
Friday: We organized the furniture in the new house so that we could walk around normally. Then we finished moving our food and dishes over to the new house which took pretty much all day.
Saturday: In the morning we went to Great Falls to watch a broadcast of a meeting in Missoula with Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve speaking to us missionaries to give us help in our missionary efforts. It was wonderful really cool experience. After that we spent much of the afternoon cleaning the house we were staying in. In the evening we visited a couple members.
Sunday: We went to church in Sunriver. One of the church speakers had fallen ill, so we stepped in to replace her. After church we had lunch with a family in Vaughn, then we contacted some people in Vaughn. In the evening we had dinner with our ward mission leader and discussed the area a bit.
That’s it for this week. I hope you all are doing well. I love you all!
William Shears Campbell
Oh yeah, here’s a picture I took our last day with the pool table at the for sale house. It’s my recreation of the Venus And Mars cover photo. The pool table is a greenish color so the background looks a bit different.

Hello friends,
And the transfer news is…I’m staying and my companion is leaving.
Monday: We stayed in Fairfield and hung out at the church to write emails. In the evening we were able to contact a few people on the way to our house from our dinner appointment.
Tuesday: In the morning we helped out a member in our ward deliver food from the food bank to people. We didn’t really do anything for the rest of the day because my companion was sick.
Wednesday: We had district meeting and then went on exchanges with our district leader and his companion. I stayed with his companion in Fairfield, and my companion went up to Great Falls with our district leader. Before returning to Fairfield, though, we did service at this art show. In the evening we had dinner and then went to visit a recent convert couple in Fairfield.
Thursday: We met in Vaughn to have lunch and end exchanges. Then we helped this lady break sticks and put them into this box. I also built a wagon. In the evening we had a lesson with this returning inactive who wants to put his papers in and go on a mission.
Friday: It was my Father Shears Campbell’s birthday. We had house inspections. Then we went to visit people in town in order to save miles. We contacted these investigators that we haven’t been able to see in a while due to their work.
Saturday: St. Patrick’s Day. We went around Fairfield and contacted some people most of the day. We were able to get in for a couple lessons. We had dinner with out Fairfield bishop for the first time in the 9 months that my companion has been in this area. They cooked us up a nice Irish dinner. In the evening we had a lesson with a recent convert couple in Fairfield.
Sunday: We went to church in Fairfield in the morning, then went back to the trailer for lunch. Then we contacted some people in Fairfield for the rest of the day.
So some of you might be wondering exactly what we of the LDS faith believe. There’s many rumors and what not, some true some untrue, about what we do and do not believe. In The Pearl Of Great Price, a collection of misc. scriptural documents named after the New Testament parable, there are the church’s beliefs broken down into 13 points called the Articles Of Faith. They were originally written by Joseph Smith in a letter in response to a newspapaer editor who was curious about what the LDS church actually believed. Those 13 points can be found right here: https://www.lds.org/scriptures…..1?lang=eng
Anyway I hope you all have a good rest of the week. I love you all very much.
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

Hello all you beautiful people,
I hope you all are having a fantabulous week.
Monday: We spent the day hanging out in Great Falls. In the evening we went back to Fairfield and my companion packed up.
Tuesday: We mainly went around so that my companion could say goodbye to people. A member drove us out to the town of Bole, or what’s left of it, which is just a bank vault. The town of Fairfield was originally there, but they didn’t have a good water supply, so they took the town and moved it to where Fairfield is now.
Wednesday: We went out Great Falls early in the morning for transfers. My companion left, and I got a new companion. We then headed to Vaughn and visited some people, and then had dinner with our ward mission leader.
Thursday: We wet around and visited some members in Fairfield, and did some tracting. We then tried to contact some people on the way to dinner, but there wasn’t much success.
Friday: We taught Seminary in the morning. We decided to go to a town called Greenfeild in our area, which is like 4 houses, and a school. we tracted it out in like 10 minutes. Then we worked our way home and sknocked on houses that were on the highway. Then we got home and I made rice krispie treats for the Scout Auction.
Saturday: We went out make bread with this investigator that makes the sacrament bread for the Fairfield ward. We also made some fry bread with him. Then we went to help set up for the Boy South Auction. We contacted some people in the afternoon and did a bit of tracting. Then in the evening we went to the Scout auction. My rice krispie treats went for $7.50, which isn’t bad. The boy who bought them said he really enjoyed them.
Sunday: We went to church in Sun River. Then we made our way to Simms contacting some people. We didn’t have much luck, but in Fort Shaw we knocked on this random house, and they let us in. It was two families hanging out on a Sunday afternoon. They gave us food and we visited a bit. They asked us a couple of doctrinal questions. I’m not sure of their intrest level, but we intend to it them again.
That’s all for this week. I hope you all have a great week to come.
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

Hey All,Today marks 8 months on the missionMonday: We went to Great Falls to do shopping, and then in the evening we went to the transfer dinner where the Stake Presidency gave us some insight on missionary work in the area.Tuesday: We worked on contacting people around Fairfield and had a bit of success, but not too much. We were able to meet with a couple of people that we haven’t seen in a while and share and Easter message.Wednesday: We had district meeting in the morning, and then made our way back home visiting people along the way. We got back to Fairfield in the evening and tracted a street, and then met with our ward mission leader.Thursday: We tried to contact people in Fairfield, then we worked our way to dinner in Vaughn contacting people. We had some people answer, and we set up a couple return appointments.Friday: We planned to head to Augusta, and we almost made it. We started out our journey while the weather was nice. We visited old people along the way. As we continued along the way a blizzard slowly started to form, and then visibility became zero. We were able to have dinner with this member outside pof Augusta. We then turned around and headed back home when then storm cleared a bit.Saturday: We mainly watched general conference. This conference was pretty cool. We were able to sustain the new church Presidency and hear of some big changes. In the afternoon we knocked a few doors in Fairfield.Sunday: We were going to watch conference with a less active but plans changed and we watched it with an older couple outside of Simms. They had more big announcements, including the plans for 7 new Temples, which will be pretty cool.Anyway I hope you all had a good week and a good time watching conference. If you weren’t able to watch conference, you can watch the recording here: https://www.lds.org/general-co…..8;lang=engPeace and Love,William Shears Campbell
