Hey,
Our preperation day was moved to Tuesday again due to some stores and things not being open on New Years day. Next week we should have our normally scheduled Monday preperation days back again.
So today the holiday season has officially ended, but hopefully not the holiday spirit. I encourage you all to continue to give service to your neighbors, friends, family, etc.
Tuesday: We spent most of the day in Cody with the other missionaries, hanging out.(remmebr this was our preperation day last week). We also went to Walmart and shopped for food. In the evening we were able to do family home evening with a family that we usually meet with on Mondays.
Wednesday: We had a couple of corrolation meetings with our ward mission leaders in the morning. In the evening we were able to meet with this family that we haven’t been able to meet with yet. We showed them a video and talked about Christmas a bit.
Thursday: We did some contacting during the day. In the evening we had this lesson with this investigator that we were referred recently. We gave him a book of mormon and challenged him to read a bit of it.
Friday: We visited a less active in the morning and shared a scripture with him. In the afternoon we did some contacting. Then in the evening we visited this part member family and shared a short message with them.
Saturday: We had 3 lessons today, but 2 of them canceled. In our open time we contacted a bit, and shoveled a few people’s walk ways. At the lesson we shared a scripture with our investigator and talked about what he did for Christams and what his plans were for new years eve.
Sunday: Most of the Ward councils were canceled. We went to sacrament meeting in the 2 wards we cover in Lovell. We went to dinner after church, and then visited a couple member homes until 9:00. Then we went back to the house.
Monday: Today the other elders move out of the basement and back to their old living place. We helped out our ward mission leader by moving his new dining table and chairs into his house. We had to dinner in the evening. Then we contacted some people for the rest of the night.
I hope you all are having a wonderful 2018
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

Hey Everyone,
It’s a brand new year! I hope you all haven’t given up on your new years resolutions yet. Try to make it to the end of the month at least. I belive in you!
Tuesday: We went to Cody and hung out with the other Elder’s for a while. Then we headed back to Lovell for Dinner. In the evening in we had a baptism for a girl who we worked with a wile back.
Wednesday: We went to the doctors so that my companion pick up a refill on his diabetes things. Then we went contacting for a bit. In the evening we met with our Cowley 2nd ward mission leader to discuss what needed to be done in Cowley 2.
Thursday: We mostly contacted during the and we worked on cleaning out the Area book. We took some time to plan out some visits to people that hadn’t been visited in a while.
Friday: We had Zone Conference. That took up most of the day. We attempted to contact some people we planned the previous night in the evening.
Saturday: We went through and contacted a ton of people during the day. In the midst of that we had 5 lessons. This was probably our most successful day in this area yet.
Sunday: We had 3 ward council meetings and then we went to the Lovell 4th ward Sacrament meeting. In the evening we went to dinner and the family was having this large gathering and there were like 20 people there. After that we went to read a bit of the Book of Mormon with this less active family.
I hope you all had a wonderful week. No matter who you are you all are children of God , and you all have purpose. I know that we all are here for a reason, and that we have a Heavenly Father who loves each one of us and has given us all skills that we can use to help others. I encourage you all to find those skills and use them for the betterment of not only your life but the lives of others as well. I know you will find happiness in this.
Peace and Love

So this week in Red Apple, which is the grocery store here in Lovell, the radio station they were playing announced that they were going to have a countdown of the top 8 Beatles songs in the coming days. I didn’t catch what day they said. Sadly the announcement was not followed by a Beatles song.
The last Beatles song I heard in a public place was Paul’s Cover of the Christmas Song(that was in Cody tho and not my area), and the time before that was in my last area. I’ve yet to hear a Beatles song in Lovell, they need to step up their Beatles game if you ask me.
While at the red apple I bought this because I saw it by the checkout counter and it was only $1.09

Speaking of top 8 Beatles songs… I don’t suppose @sir walter raleigh could ask Billy Shears if he could give a few songs some scores, to participate in the 2018 canon poll?

This may seem like a stupid question but what would happen if WSC chose to write a post on the forum during his mission, my guess would be that he would get kicked off the mission.
He is allowed to use the internet freely on mondays, but he doesn’t go on BB, he writes his weekly email.
WSC also told me he’s started doing 100 pushups a day!

I didn’t actually make any New Year’s resolutions, apart from ‘This year I vow to learn the ‘Stairway To Heaven’ guitar solo properly’

But I might should adopt that as mine. Well, not the 100 part — I don’t think I could do 50 in a row without keeling over — but daily push-ups, yes, good.

Hey All,
This week went by so fast.
Monday: The Elders came down here to Lovell to hang out during the day. In the evening in we had a family home evening lesson with a less active family in one of our wards.
Tuesday: We helped a less active member clean out his garage out. That took up most of the morning. Later on we contacted some people, and had a lesson with this family of investigators that we have just now been able to visit with.
Wednesday: We had district meeting in the morning and did some contraction in the afternoon. In the evening we had corrolation with our Cowley Mission Leaders
Thursday: In the morning we went to the funeral for this lady who was murdered in Lovell. It was the first murder in Lovell in 10 years. After that we had a pretty unsuccessful contacting session. In the evening we were able to contact this referral we got from our dinner appointment, but it turned out that they weren’t too interested.
Friday: We went to Seminary in the morning and talked to the kids about inviting their friends to church things and not being afraid to stand by what they believe. Then we went to watch the high school basketball games at Rocky over in Cowley. In between games we went and attempted to contact some people. We were more successful than the day before.
Saturday: We did exchanges with the other elder. I went around our area with the district leader. We had a couple of lessons in Lovell in the afternoon. In the evening we were able to contact a couple people. We set up a lesson with this native American family for next Saturday evening. We have been trying to find them for a while
Sunday: We had 2 ward councils and then 2 sacrament meetings. In the evening in we went to an Eagle Scout court of honor in Cowley. After that we read a bit from the Book of Mormon with a less active family.
That was my week. I’m approaching 4 years and 4 months of membership in the church this month. In September of 2013 I made one of the best decisions I could probably ever make. I was baptized. I know that this is the true church. I know that the Book Of Mormon is in fact the word of God . It just isn’t very likely that a man with little education made up and wrote a detailed 500 page record of the ancient Americas covering 1000 years of history that fits right in with the events of the Bible in only 90 days. There just had to be divine help.
Don’t take my word of it though. If you’d like to know for yourself I encourage you to read the Book of Mormon and pray with an open heart about whether or not it’s true. I know many of you that these emails go out to are not members of the LDS faith. I just want you all to know that if you have any questions at all about the church and our beliefs to not hesitate to ask me. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.
If you would like to read the Book Of Mormon follow either of these links
Order a physical copy of the Book of Mormon for FREE: https://www.mormon.org/beliefs…..-of-mormon

I love you all very much(Especially those of you on the Beatles Bible, not that I’m playing favorites or anything…..). Thank you all for being the influences that you have been on my life.
Sincerely,
Your’s Truly,
William Shears Campbell

Hello All,
Monday: My Companion and I took a drive up to Cody to go shopping. We also looked around in the shops in Powell on the way back. In the evening we had a family home evening activity with a less active family. They live in a pretty small house, but they are in the midst of moving into a bigger house next month, which they are excited about.
Tuesday: We watched the calling of the new presidency in the morning. If you missed it and would like to watch it, you can find it on lds.org. We had a couple of correlation meetings with our Lovell ward mission leaders. We had a lesson with an investigator family later that evening.
Wednesday: We had district meeting in the morning. I gave a discussion. Then in the afternoon we contacted some people in Cowley. We made contact with over half of the people we attempted. In the evening we had a correlation meeting with our ward mission leader in Cowley 2. We discussed the new gospel principles class the ward is holding on Sunday and making invitations to invite people to the class.
Thursday: We helped a guy in Byron put up a shed. He’s been having us help him put it up piece by piece for the last little while. It’s almost done. We had a lesson with a recent convert in Cowley. In the evening we went to the Rocky basketball game in Cowley.
Friday: Today we did some contacting and we passed by a haunted house that was for Halloween. My Companion decided that we should knock it. It was pretty scary, and I think we almost died. There is a pic of the house attached. We may go and try it again in a few days since no one answered.
Saturday: We had some lessons planned but like half of them fell through. Our dinner also fell through, but good thing there were these awesome members in Cowley ready to feed us waffles(with syrup and powdered sugar) and bacon. We also had cookies for dessert. The dinner was so sugary that it made my Companion sick.
Sunday: We went to some ward council meetings in Cowley and went to sacrament meeting in Lovell. After that we went to dinner. As we were walking from the car to the house I slipped on this ice that was very not visible on the side walk right in front of the open window of our dinner appointment where everyone could see. I then said decently loudly to My Companion “I wonder if they saw me slip on the ice?”, not realizing the front door was open. So if they didn’t see me slip on the ice, they definitely heard me ask my companion if he thought they saw me slip. Luckily they didn’t mention anything about it when we walked in the house. I hope they actually didn’t see or hear anything, and they weren’t just trying to be nice. In the evening our two lessons canceled, so we went to go check up on some members to see if we could do any service for them.
I hope you all have a fantabulous week. Be careful not to slip on the ice. And all the best!
William Shears Campbell

Hey Everybody!
Another Week in Lovell, Wyoming.
Monday: We went to Cody, had lunch, and then played chair soccer in the cultural hall. In the evening we went and did a family home evening with a less active family.
Tuesday: We had correlation with our Lovell 1st ward mission leader. We visited a member that was in the hospital with him. Then we had a lesson with an investigator of ours. They told us about their crazy neighbors. After the lesson there was a cop car out front that was there for their crazy neighbors.
Wednesday: We had district meeting and then interviews with president. That took up most of the day. We didn’t get out until 3:30pm. After that we went on exchanges with the zone leaders. I stayed in Lovell, and my companion went to Powell. We did a bit of finding in Byron, and were able to contact a family that we haven’t been able to contact before. We set up a lesson with them next week. Then we went to a pinewood derby race for the cub scouts, and helped run the cars to the top of the track. In the evening we visited a less active family in Cowley.
Thursday: We ended the exchanges after visiting this furniture shop that the less active family we visited the previous night owns. After switching back, my companion and I did weekly panning. In the evening we had a correlation meeting with our Cowley 2 ward mission leader. He had this great plan for getting the auxiliaries to take part in reactivating inactive families.
Friday: After our lesson canceled in the morning, we went and contacted a bunch of people in Lovell. It was a pretty successful day. Then in the evening we went to watch the Lovell vs Rocky(The Cowley High School) basketball game. That is where most people in Cowley and Lovell were, so we figured that we should be there as well. We didn’t pick sides though because We cover both Cowley and Lovell.
Saturday: We had a wonderful lesson today with an investigator of ours in Lovell. We were able to go over the Restoration and assign her to read the Plan Of Salvation pamphlet for next week. In the evening we went to go visit an older less active couple in Byron.
Sunday: We went to some ward councils and then the sacrament meeting. In the afternoon we attended a missionary meeting for Cowley 2nd ward. In the evening we taught a part member family just outside of Lovell with our ward mission leader.
That was my week this week. I hope you all are doing well. I’ll catch you next week.
William Shears Campbell
So on Tuesday at our corrolation meeting, our ward mission leader was practicing guitar when he arrived, and he asked us if we had any requests for him to play. I asked if he knew any Beatles, and he played the intro to Blackbird . That’s my Beatles song hearing for the week.
Also I’ve been singing a lot of Beatles songs that I remember from back home around our living quarters.
That’s about it.
See you all next week
