Week 101/104 7/8/19
Hey Everyone,
Monday: We spent most of the day hanging out at the church as usual.
Tuesday: We had district council and district lunch. In the evening we had a lesson with this family we started teaching.
Wednesday: We spent most of the day visiting the people that the missionaries were working with in the Belt branch.
Thursday: We helped set up and take down the 4th of July parade in Great Falls. In the evening we had dinner with a member family and watched then light off fireworks.
Friday: We did some tracting during the day and too some time for weekly planning.
Saturday: We tracted most of the day. In the evening we attended a baptism in the Portage ward.
Sunday: We went to church, and then met with our branch mission leader in Belt. Afterwards we did some contacting and some tracting.
Thats all for this week.
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

I was watching a video and a guy in it happened to be a member of The Church. Only problem was they spelt ‘Latter’ as ‘Ladder’, ain’t no mountain high enough, amirite WSC?Also, stereotype question for you WSC- I know in all modern chapels, a basketball court is part of the design…so, do you play a lot of basketball?
Which @Ahhh Girl passed on to WSC.
WSC replied
That’s funny with the misspelling of Latter. I think the Ladder-day Saints are the ones that take the Tower Of Babel approach of getting to heaven.
To answer the basketball question, yes we do indulge in basketball often. Some of the Stakes(a group of wards which are congregations that meet on Sunday) even have basketball tournaments where the wards build teams and go against each other. The basketball courts, or more properly “the cultural halls” are also used for any miscellaneous activity done in the church.

Week 102/104 7/15/19
Hey Everyone,
Monday: We went as a zone to go and see some sights around Great Falls. We saw the Roe River and some dams and waterfalls and stuff.
Tuesday: We had zone council in the morning. Later we met this lady from Dillon Montana where my companion started his mission. She knew a lot of the people he did. It turns out she’s interested in learning more about the gospel
Wednesday: We had a crazy morning. We almost got attacked by a dog, but it was fine. My companion just got a tiny nip on his ankle. We went around and contacted done formers for most of the day. In the afternoon we had a lesson with an investigator that has moved from the Portage area to the Roe River area. In the evening we met with the Roe River bishop for a bit.
Thursday: We did some finding in the morning. In the afternoon we planned for the week. We were going to have a lesson in Belt, but it was pushed to Sunday.
Friday: In the morning we helped this lady install an air conditioner into her window. After that we spent most of the day finding. We went to the river for a bit as well.
Saturday: We tracted in the morning and found a new person. In the afternoon we went on spits with this one guy from the YSA , and were able to find another person.
Sunday: We went to church in Roe River and gave talks during sacrament meeting. After church we went to Belt and had a lesson with some recent converts in the branch. In the evening we had a meeting with our ward mission leader in Roe River.
Thats all for this week.
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

An update to the update… WSC and I were discussing the rumours around the AR 50th and some bootlegs I’m sharing with him when he gets home (19 days and counting down), when he dropped this into the email exchange:
So speaking of home, off topic update that I’ve neglected writing about: I actually won’t go home to Vegas. About a month ago my parents moved up to a city north of Salt Lake City, UT called Ogden. They made the move to be closer to Mother Shears Campbell’s side of the family seeing as Father Shears Campbell’s side has scattered from Vegas and now lives all over the place. And now that Sister Shears Campbell is graduated from high school, the timing was right and the move was inevitable.
Just thought you all would be interested to hear that.
I checked if he wanted that shared, and he did.
He also now knows what a “Fiddy” is:
Fiddy, I like it. That’s good to know. I’ll be less confused when I return.

@50yearslate:
Here’s a word you’ll have to learn for when you’re back on the forum, a “Fiddy” — it’s when you use the “Ringo pointing up” smiley to indicate the post above, and the post ends up at the top of the next page. Saves one of the first posts you make on return being, “What’s a Fiddy?”
Hope that works for you…

Week 103/104 7/22/19
Hey Everyone,
Monday: We went around Great Falls and saw some sights. We went to this park with a bunch of big tractor tires. It was pretty cool.
Tuesday: We had to get an oil change so while we waited for that we played baseball with these kids. In the evening we attended institute.
Wednesday: We did some tracting for most of the day and did a lot of walking around our area.
Thursday: We had Zone Conference most of the day. In the evening we did a bit of finding.
Friday: We did some finding during the day and found a new person. We set up a lesson with him the next day.
Saturday: We had the youth game day with a decent turn out. We played wiffle ball. Later we had an awesome lesson with the guy we found the previous day.
Sunday: We went to church in Belt and made some contacts there afterwards. In the evening we were gonna have another lesson with the guy we taught the previous day, but it fell through. Funny enough we ended up seeing him later that night.
Thats all for now. Take care.
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

Week 104/104 7/29/19
Hey Everyone,
Well it’s the last full week in the mission field. I will return home on Saturday August 3rd.
Monday: We had a normal preparation day. We shopped and emailed and hung out at the church.
Tuesday: We had exchanges with the Zone Leaders. I stayed in Roe River. We had 2 lessons but one of them canceled. The other one went really well.
Wednesday: We had district council and then district lunch. After that we had a lesson with an investigator of ours who’s getting baptized on the 10th of August.
Thursday: We walked around and did some finding for most of the day. We ended up helping this lady with her lawn, and we scheduled a lesson with her on Sunday.
Friday: We went around and contacted some people that were interested that we hadn’t seen in a while. In the evening we helped move a piano for this family on the military base. Then we were able to teach them a lesson.
Saturday: In the morning we went to the farmers market and checked out the booths and talked to people. For the rest of the day we walked around town. We were able to visit one of our investigators. His uncle was in town so we got to talk to the both of them. We also talked to this couple we had met earlier at the beginning of the transfer.
Sunday: We went to church in Roe River, and then had lunch at the house. After that we had a lesson with the lady we met on Sunday. In the evening we had a correlation meeting with the ward mission leader in Roe River.
Thats all for this week. I’ll be home next week!
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell
Well, unless something crops up in the next few hours, while WSC has email available, that, my fellow Forumpudlians, is that.
The next update on @William Shears Campbell’s life will be posted by WSC.

Well, if I recall correctly, he has the group’s Sgt. Pepper and the White super deluxes, and John’s Imagine : The Ultimate Collection waiting for him as delayed birthday and Chrimble pressies.
He also has The Beatles Anthology Revisited, The BBC Archives, The Ultimate Live Collection, Kicks, Kudos and Cash and Za Laut ready to be downloaded from me. Along with a list of other things he may want.

I commented to WSC myself:
Gonna be weird not looking out for this next week.
I wanna thank @sir walter raleigh for coming up with this thread along with WSC, and for posting more than half of the two years WSC has been away.
And I wanna thank @Ahhh Girl for those times she stepped in when we were running late.

Its been a long journey that could not have happened without @Ahhh Girl and @Ron Nasty as well as everybody who posted messages to send WSC. I especially want to thank @William Shears Campbell for sending your emails week after week. It was great to connect with you from so far away. I also learned a lot from reading about your experiences. I can’t even imagine how much you learned along the way.
