So very true RN, practically philosophical. Are you thinking of creating a religion anytime soon? ‘Cause I’ll sign up.
One observation I’ve always had is that sometimes members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints come to my university campus in Ireland and mill around. They are always the most attractive people I’ve ever seen. If I join the Church, will I too become a gorgeous, leggy, blonde American girl?
Looking forward to your return WSC, I hope you can regale us with some exciting tales.

Hey Everyone,
Tuesday was Paul McCartney ‘s birthday, which means it was also my MTC companion’s birthday, so happy belated to the both.
Monday: We did the normal preparation day thing. Shopping then to the church building.
Tuesday: We did a service project where we helped finish painting that church we worked on a couple weeks ago.
Wednesday: We had district council. In the evening we had a lesson with a less active member in the ward.
Thursday: We were going to have a lesson, but it canceled. In the evening we did splits with the Elders Quorum.
Friday: We some weekly planning, and then did some finding in the evening.
Saturday: We did some finding around town for most of the day.
Sunday: We went to church. We also had a correlation meeting with our ward mission leader.
That’s all for this week.

Haha, yeah it seems the U2 song correctly sums up my experience in this area though.
I think people would be more willing to hear our message if they knew what it was, but alas, they see us only as salesmen when in reality we are not selling anything but rather, giving .
If you join the church, your gender, nationality, or hair color will not change, but I won’t say that you won’t become a bit more attractive.
Question, are these missionaries you’re seeing on the campus with the little black name tags, or are they just Run Of The Mill members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Excellent, who knew the key to eternal beauty was joining the Church! And there I was thinking of getting Botox.
I’ll be honest with you and say I didn’t get close enough to see what they were wearing, I’m normally running late to lectures anytime I’m on campus so I’m speeding past them on my bike.

They had a big sign next to them, along with a table with copies of The Book of Mormon. They also were wearing ‘the uniform’ I guess you can call it, longer skirts for the girls, and the lads were wearing white shirts and ties- looking very dapper.
We also get Jehovah’s Witnesses from time to time handing out copies of The Watchtower and Awake! but they wear more casual clothes and look less (dare I say it?) ‘put together’ than the Church of the Latter-Day Saints’ members.
They stand at the entrance to the college so whether you’re walking or passing by bike, you’ll notice them.

To which, @AppleScruffJunior, wsc replied:
Those were probably the missionaries then.
Oh the Jehivas’s Witnesses, our competition. Nice people though.
Well I mean we’ve got to stand out in a visible location if we want people notice us and ask questions. I assume they have the same rules for proseyting on a college campus as we do here. We can’t approach people on campus to talk about the gospel, they have to ask us a question first.
This is almost like a conversation!!!!

It is RN, your post count will go through the roof.
I don’t think my college cares tbh about what people do, I just googled to see if there are any rules and none came up. In general, I never see the JWs or the Church of the Latter-Day Saints followers approach people in the street. They just smile and hope that people walk up to them to take one of their brochures.
There’s a nice JW couple that sit by the prom in Galway and I always smile at them when I cycle past them. Poor lads, every day whether it’s raining or sunny, they’re there and I never see anyone talk to them. Ireland is too à la carte Catholic to get anyone to convert. In our latest census we had 3.7m people declare themselves as Catholic (the actual number of practicing Catholics though would be way lower but that’s a discussion for another day), JWs 6,264, and Church of the Latter-Day Saints 1,209.
Work harder, kids!

wsc observes to @AppleScruffJunior:
A lot of those Europe missions are hard in that regard. Most people are set in their ways. If you ever find yourself passing them and not in a rush, you should go ask them something about the church. Brighten their day.

Week 100/104 7/1/19
Hey Everyone,
Transfer news is that I will be staying here in Roe River. I got a new companion as well. We also will be covering the Belt branch, which means we now have a car!
Monday: We mainly hung out at the church. In the evening we got transfer news.
Tuesday: My companion said goodbye to some people and began packing.
Wednesday: My companion finished packing.
Thursday: we drove to Helena for transfers, and then drove back with the new missionaries. My new companion and I drove to Belt to find the church building. Then we walked around Belt to see what the town was like. On the way back to Great Falls it started raining super hard. So hard that it was harder to see through than a blizzard, but we made it back.
Friday: We did some tracting around town. We also did some weekly planning.
Saturday: We spent the morning helping with two moves. In the afternoon we walked around town and talked to people. We ended up getting yelled at by a Heathen(Norse god (Like Thor) worshipper). In the evening we were able to talk to this one guy. He seemed pretty interested.
Sunday: We went to church. Then we had a super early dinner at 3:00. For the rest of the evening we tracted and walked around and talked to people. At around 8 we helped the Zone Leaders move a piano.
I hope you all had a great week,
Peace and Love,
William Shears Campbell

I was watching a video and a guy in it happened to be a member of The Church. Only problem was they spelt ‘Latter’ as ‘Ladder’, ain’t no mountain high enough, amirite WSC?
Also, stereotype question for you WSC- I know in all modern chapels, a basketball court is part of the design…so, do you play a lot of basketball?
