Offline Here is the first email updat I received
Dear Friends,
It’s official! I’ve been set apart as a full time missionary! That means if you want to contact me, you’ll have to email me at this address. I’m so excited to report on Wednesday! It might be a bit of a struggle to be under mission rules while not being out and serving, but hopefully the 2nd will come soon. Anyway if you want to email me, I’ll be able to respond every day until August 2nd, then I’ll only be able to respond on Mondays(Most likely, but I’ve heard of missions where P-days are on Tuesday). And that’s about it.

Preparation day (or P Day as it is often referred to) is a missionary’s once a week chance to do big shopping trips, play sports, do laundry and write letters home to family and friends. Preparation day is the one day a week in which Mormon missionaries get a break from their usual schedule of proselytizing. It is called preparation day because it is designed to help missionaries prepare physically for the week ahead.

Offline Sorry everybody. I unintentionally lied to you all. My P Day is actually on Tuesday for my time at the MTC.
It turns out that I can read emails any day, but I can only send them on P Day, so Email me everyday!!!!!!
Well, I’ve finally made it to the MTC. I spent the first bit of the week spending time. On Tuesday I went to temple square and toured around, which was an amazing experience. Then Wednesday I was dropped off at the MTC.
Wednesday: I arrived and was whisked away with my escort to a large room where I was thrown around to different stations where I received things and was asked questions. It was all very confusing. Then I was thrown into a classroom. I met my companion. He’s pretty cool. I also met my district. They’re all pretty cool. We did some introductory stuff and then went to this introductory meeting. Then we went to dinner. After diner we went to this class where as a group we had a mock discussion with a pseudo investigator. I was able to bear my testimony on prayer. Then we met as a zone and went over some stuff. It was quite a busy day.
Thursday: In the morning all the new missionaries went to go pick up a package with various pamphlets and booklets for our time at the MTC. Then we went to class and taught a guy named Brandon. Then we went to a seminar about loving the people on our mission. After that we were supposed to do an online class, but we couldn’t figure out how to get to it, so instead we just read from the Book of Mormon. In the evening we had another zone meeting where we talked about some stuff. Then district and zone leaders were called. My companion was called as the district leader for our district. In the evening I started to develop a southern hick accent. I think it’s from both my companion and this other elder in my district from Tennessee. They both have strong accents and it’s rubbing off on me.
Friday: So it’s was my half birthday on Friday. YAY! In the morning we went to the showers and came back to find our room locked with the keys inside. *facepalm* I know, rookie mistake. So we had to track down someone with authority in our pajamas to give us a spare key to open our door. It actually turned out that we weren’t even the first ones to that in the last 24 hours, so they understood. Then we went to class. Afterward we figured out how to do the online course, so we did that as well. We finally got exercise whuuch was nice. I finally got a chance to do some gains building. At night we had a class where we got to teach Brandon again. Then at night we had a devotional as a district. We got together in one of the residents and read Ether 12. It was so spiritual and uplifitiung. A great way to end the day.
Saturday: We had another chance to Teach Brandon, which was awesome. Then the night lesson was about the Book of Mormon. Not much else happened.
Sunday: The morning was crazy. We had no clue where any of the meetings were. I think I got more exercise running around that day than I did in the last two days of exercise. Finally Dinner came and we could eat. After dinner we had a devotional with this Mormon Partrige Family, that plays classical music instruments. The mom casually just mentioned that she was Elder Oak’s daughter. Y’know, no biggie. Then we watched a video of Elder David A. Bednar from Christmas day like a decade ago, where he gave a talk at the MTC. Then afterwards Elder Bednar popped out and did a Q&A. It was crazy! I learned a ton! It was so surreal, and I still can’t believe it happened. That night we didn’t get much sleep due to being out an hour later than planned, but it was totally worth it.
Monday: Today we started TRC, which is where we teach could be real investigators. We have them Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The, morning one got cancelled due to an orientation for working the MTC tours. We got to do our afternoon TRC, and it went decently. So my companion says “Y’know” a lot, and I told him that he reminds me of Paul McCartney because of that. Well I found out that he has the same birthday as Paul McCartney , so thats pretty cool. Then in the evening we got to Teach a new investigator named Chase. Afterwards we did another district devotional which was awesome. Then we all went to bed.

Offline You may inform our dear Billy that when we got back from our last camping trip, we locked our keys (both of them) in the car. Spent two whole days without my guitar*… it was tragic 
*Martin. Thankfully I still had Sadie inside, as I only brought my acoustic. But I was mostly worried that the heat of the car wouldn’t be good for my guitar.

Offline Is Brandon a guy that wants to become a Mormon? Or is he a Mormon pretending to be a non-Mormon, and you have to practice preaching on him?
Also, can you not play sports in the evening when you’re finished your work for the day? I know a lot of my friends would go mental without being able to kick around a football in the evening.
