Ahhh Girl, you think Paul is actually going to care about this poll? He doesn’t keep track of his actual awards (ex Grammys).
I think these polls are more about fan pride (and page views/advertising, of course). Paul’s FB hasn’t even been linking to this (though they’d been pushing the NME Awards). Personally, I didn’t pay attention until the numbers got close, it was just a bit of fun to see the ranks change.
I can’t vote for Queenie Eye over Cut Me Some Slack, though. Not gonna do it.

Half of my votes have been for Cut Me Some Slack! And if it wasn’t so far behind, all of them would have been.
Anyway, here’s how things read at the moment, with however many hours to go until voting closes at 10am ET tomorrow.
Artist of the Year:
Paul McCartney – 63.99%!
Black Sabbath – 20.7%
A fecking bloodbath! I don’t think anyone here will claim we swung that one!
Album of the Year:
Paul McCartney , “New” – 43.31%!
Black Sabbath, “13” – 39.81%
Nice to see the lead stretching. Stay vigilant though!
Tour of the Year:
Rush – 35.79%
Paul McCartney – 26.77%
Oh well! It’s still a good second place!
Single of the Year:
Paul McCartney , “Queenie Eye ” – 36.54%
Rush, “The Garden” – 35.92%
Paul McCartney , Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, “Cut Me Some Slack” – 8.88%
Too close to call! Could swing either way!
Those are where the main votes stand at this times, I could list the others, all respectable showings where our boy(s) are/is involved, but I’m going to have a doze instead!

If Queenie Eye is single of the year then we need to weep for the death of classic rock and start digging a hole in the ground.

Doesnt someone here like Rush? I have a memory of someone posting a link to a couple of their music videos.
I think it’s unknown. She hasn’t been on for a while though, I don’t think. I thought Rush were a Glee kind of band for some reason, maybe I should give them a listen.

LOL, “Glee” type of band!
Actually, their bassist/singer is Geddy Lee, so they really are a kind of “G. Lee” band I guess. All of their work from 1974-1984 is essential!! (If you’re Canadian) I’ve mentioned my appreciation for them many times here but I wasn’t the one who posted videos.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

^^ Ooops, feel a bit stupid now….
I must be confusing them with someone else.
EDIT: Oh, I know! Damn! I’m confusing them with Big Time Rush (Easy mistake to make?)

No, no. I know they’re a completely different genre (I’m not that silly). I just read ‘Rush’ and thought ‘Big Time Rush’. Not because they’re similar in any way, but ’cause they have kind of similar names. Stupid mistake, that’s all. Now it makes sense why they’ve won this award…. I was thinking of the wrong bloody band!
