Pretty decent Faces-style Klassic Rocker…the piano parts and gospelish singing livens up their sound, like on many of their best-sounding hits. Riffs are ok…Turn it up 1 (3 after the third beer)
Think I saw this dude mentioned on the forum, or Album of the Day…
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Interesting. Never heard of Manfred Mann before. Maybe it’s not specially for me but turn it up! is good enough!
I’m posting because I’m reminiscing of the great Hendrix, don’t know why. Anyway this song is one of my favourites from the 60s, particularly around 1:54 onward, that’s just so predictive of Santana. Such beautiful but raw production, listen with headphones and notice how in the guitar solo the drums, bass and guitar change from one side to another. Truly a Hendrix underrated
I hate that Are You Experienced isn’t strictly on YouTube (or any Hendrix Experience album for that matter smh)

Love the new signature, by the way, Clerefore.
Absolutely beautiful, that Hendrix track – those exotic lead guitar lines, Mitch’s percussion, the free-falling intro. Turn Jimi way way up forever.
And turn Love up while you’re at it “Forever Changes” is another of 1967’s indispensable LPs. Arthur Lee writes some fascinating surreal words in “Clark or Hilldale”, leaving the final rhymes in each verse un-sung, for some reason.

Wow, guys! you really know your music, this Psychedelic Furs track sounds like a punk rock classic, but I’ve never heard of them either. I really have to catch up to some of this stuff. Sure, turn it up. Just my kind of rawness.

Arthur Lee worked with Jimi a couple of times.

Of course I couldn’t possibly agree more about Forever Changes
You just reminded me of this
This song gave me happy chills the first ten times I heard it and lately I can’t get enough of it. I discovered it recently just the same as everyone else since it has gotten some recognition because it was featured on Jojo Rabbit (great movie btw) at the same time that Mac Miller’s posthumous album came out, that featured a cover of the song. Anyway, I’ll feature Mac’s cover as well as it is beautiful, gives me the feels. RIP.
Circles is a 10/10 there I said it and I’ll fight anyone over this

Love that, @Dingle Lad. One great groove.
Do you wish to post a video, mmm?
Thanks, @Von Bontee.
Picks up steam towards the end. As a fan of Joanie and Sandy, I approve but I’d need to hear more. Turn it up a couple of notches. No louder, the mastering would kill.
From the Self Portrait sessions. Why wasn’t this ever released?

As much as I like Nick Drake, he’s not someone you turn up. LOL

Goose! I’ve heard about this jam band a lot recently, but haven’t been invested enough to actually listen to their stuff. It’s pretty cool.
