TURN IT (dahell) UP!
I didn’t even remember how much I loved that song!!! My mother used to listen to it a lot when I was younger and I always liked it but never looked it up. I added Simply Red to my list since I don’t know any of their music outside of Something Got Me Started. But damn that track BANGS.
I came here because I just remember the best song to listen in these times of quarantine if none of you have already:
It instantly clicked with me, how relevant it is. I was listening to music on my phone, feeling melancholic when this song popped up. I already love this song in the first place, probably my favourite solo Lennon song (yeah I said it) and certainly the best on John Lennon /Plastic Ono Band on my humble opinion. And that is a tight album.
The lyrics are just insane relatable rn, even if it wasn’t the original topic that Lennon seems to be focusing on (I’m guessing depression).

Gotta turn that up no matter what: it’s so quiet! Very vulnerable track, just a little boy and girl afraid of the sun, or anything else that may hurt. So hard to listen to an artist this miserable, and that’s why it’s so compelling. Up.
OK, here’s another song with similar appropriate subject matter, and since it’s my unofficial board duty to promote these guys every once in awhile, I bring you the incomparable MX-80 (Sound) and “Man in a Box” (10 years before Alice in Chains used that title)

Turn it down. Give me the senior Hank Williams any day.
Then you might as well quit listening to any country music because nobody can equal Hank, Sr.
It’s almost like you can enjoy one Hank and hate the other.

Keep it at a moderate level. Not something I’d jam to, but it’s decent. My favorite song from the collaborations box set.
Always gotta love Ravi, turn it up a notch.
From almost today’s Coranavirus Thread Album of the Day, but decided against, my favourite track from Hazeldine’s 1997 “How Bees Fly”…
(Video is there, just not showing)

Can you post a better version of the song? I’d definitely give it a listen.

Since I’m the only one play I say Turn It Up.
Dingle Lad, first you have to respond to the last song posted, which is in Ron Nasty’s post here:

Then you can post a new song, but you can’t expect anyone to respond in 6 minutes before posting another song after turning your own one up. That isn’t how this game works. You say you’re the only one playing, but on this page alone (which only has 4 days’ worth of posts on it) there have been 6 people other than you posting songs: WAC, mmm, CS, vb, LPD and RN. There are at least a few others who frequent this thread as well, so if you give them a day or so I can all but guarantee you that one of them will respond, continuing the game. If the thread gets buried and starts gathering cobwebs, then after a week or so you can bump it if you wish by posting a different song, but you have to give other members a chance to post first.

Ron Nasty’s post contained a song for people to listen to.
After that, you replied to vb asking for a better version of a song (perfectly fine, that’s why this thread cool!)
Then you posted Screaming Trees – Butterfly, without responding to RN’s song
Then you responded to your own song before posting another one.
40 hours between posts is often only a little above average in this thread, or at least it was when I was more active here. When you post, you have to respond to the person above you’s song (or the last posted song if applicable). Then you wait for someone else to respond to your song, before you can post another song.

Turn Blur way up! I love Blur so much (I had an entire phase where I only listened to Blur and Britpop for like four months). This is one of my favorite songs, too! It has great lyrics and a psychedelic tone to it and is just another example of Damon Albarn being a genius *chef’s kiss*

Well I love the clean jazzy guitar so turn the instrumental parts up a notch.
RE: Blur
What Mustard said about the Screaming Trees song is kind of how I feel about the Blur song, the compression in the mastering is horrible and destroys what otherwise might be a good listening experience. The song itself isn’t bad just the mastering choices. BTW I love the song Intermission which appears on the Baby Driver Soundtrack.
I have tickets to see these guys in June. I hope everything straightens out by then but, with this idiot we have in charge; I’m not so sure.
What is happening? And tell me how you've been.
