Go Muse – finally a band that doesn’t do fade outs!
That’s pretty good music to relax to – I’d imagine it’d be pretty good to do work while listening to that. I’d turn it up quite a few notched but there is an annoying rustling throughout, so it’ll have to only go up by about 2 or 3 notches, but then again it’s not necessarily music to turn up to 11 anyway!

That’s not quite my favourite thing about them, but it definitely makes me respect them exponentially more.

I have no idea what you’re talking about rustling???? maybe it’s your audio equipment or aliens floating over Australia????

@The Hole Got Fixed never mind, Muse have done some songs that fade out: ‘Showbiz‘, ‘Hyper Chondriac Music‘ (another personal favourite of mine)’, Map Of Your Head‘, and ‘Bliss‘ (one of their best, by the way).
Still, that’s only four out of … . . . . I actually don’t know how many songs they’ve done altogether off the top of my head, it’s gotta be around 200 though. They’ve also done songs that fade into each other, although that’s kind of a different situation…

(Would it be in character for me to mention that I owned the croc rock single when I was 7? Yes.)
You know you’re a hardcore bibler when the name “Matt Bellamy” always reminds you of two usernames! Turn him up, that built and pounded spookily.

Small details… I can cope with a very small number of fade outs, so kudos to them.
As for Sylvester – turn him up slightly but it’s too long and too repetitive for me to commit to more than 1 notch.
Let’s get some ELO into this thread shall we?

Mr Bellamy is the frontman of Muse. I was very surprised that he released a record under his name alone, but I liked the song very much. (I think it’s a one-off though.)
ELO with sweet fat slide guitar and faux-operatic singing rockabilly must be increased in volume, thank you

(Really enjoyed “Rockaria”, one of the finest ELO tracks, and proof that Jeff Lynne has a sense of humour. Up!)
That’s about the third or fourth time I’ve encountered Nina on this thread (posted one or two myself too)…and it’s the first one I’m not enthused over. The song itself bores me, as does the fake live atmosphere…but it’s Nina Simone, so turn her up by one.
Continuing with the Pride-friendly selections, let’s return to the days when Minneapolis ruled the music world…

@mods there’s a post here awaiting moderation, which is for some reason marked as a new post but doesn’t show up on the recently-posted list… is it a glitch, or did Joe change something?
Also welcome @montyclift

Turn the last three songs in this thread up
1) Nina is the queen, love that harmonica 2) ‘Pink Turns To Blue’ was cool, great riff, sad lyrics 3) ‘Getting Bi’ made me LOL, very clever song

Turn it up, I enjoyed that a lot. Maybe I’m trying too hard to interpret his parentage, but I hear Blue Jay Way in there somewhat.
In a similarly weird and wonderful vein, here’s a song from one of the most amazing artists of the decade, the always confounding Julia Holter. This song starts out rather underwhelmingly, but the crescendo it reaches at the end is glorious.

Turn Julia up. The best words I can use to describe it is enticing into rapturous.
A brand new song from this band which I’ve been following – they’re Mexican but this is their first Spanish-language song:

Never really watched the America Office that was pretty funny!A great song from John Grant follows here (he does like a little like Rasputin in the photo still of the Youtube video)
Thanks, the walrus was Paul!

Turn it up! Never heard this before (or anything else by the artist), but it was really cool.
And welcome to the forum!
For Beatlebug’s, I also say turn it up!
For me I have a song by an artist I discovered because he was the opening act (for a group that was comparatively not nearly as good whoops).

Does anyone ever say turn it down?
Of course. However, I’d say it’s something like two or three out of every ten occasions. Sometimes we’ll also say ‘keep it where it is’ if we don’t really love it or hate it enough to turn it up or down.

Turn that up a bit – it was really elaborately written, and I liked the shifting moods and melodies.
