FlyingbriansI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Even Squeeze? Just kidding, no Velvet fan counts that abomination.

Haha, I’ve only heard it once or twice, but from what I can tell it’s an OK little pop album, as long as you think of it as a Doug Yule album rather than a Velvet Underground album.

“Heroes” is classic in any language! Dreh es auf! (Also I really liked that Vulfpeck track that Sir Walter posted.)
Never showed the Vulf to anyone who didn’t like it. They are tied with Mipso for my favorite modern band. Here’s one by them.
"The pump don't work cause the vandals took the handles!"
-Bob Dylan, Subterranean Homesick Blues
"We could ride and surf together while our love would grow"
-Brian Wilson, Surfer Girl

Turn it up but not too much. At the beginning, I have to admit, I was a tiny little bit bored but later when there appeared many different vocal lines it gets a real pleasure to listen to. (I’ve just listened to the Vulfpeck track you’ve posted earlier too and it’s so awesome, I really love it!)
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

It’s not really to my taste, but it’s still a pretty good song. I like the horn charts the best. Turn it up just enough to hear it.

Sounds to me like an unsuccessful attempt to be The Mamas & The Papas. Turn It Down
Wow, really? I only know their few biggest singles…maybe I should check out more!
Turn that Jean Knight track up! Funky stuff. And an amazing factoid about the song that I never knew:
American all-female heavy metal band Precious Metal released a cover of the song from their self-titled 1990 album. Donald Trump, businessman and future President of the Untied States, originally made an appearance in the music video for the band’s cover. However, Trump wanted a $250,000 payment instead of the agreed-upon $10,000 appearance fee. After the band refused to pay for his appearance, Trump was replaced in the final version of the music video.[11][12]

Turn it up! Normally, I don’t like Rap music but once I managed to put aside all the prejudices I had I have to admit that this beat, especially the sax-riff in the background, really thrilled me. Amazing stuff! Maybe I should check out some more rap. ‘Beat it for Yoko Ono’ was another plus point…

When in the right frame of ear I really like the above but it does need to be in the correct moment. So turn it up but stand by the volume control as it may need to be turned down – or vice verse.
