Haha I was thinking of posting a song from that very album a coupla nights ago! (And hey I just found out that Klaus Voormann designed that album cover! ) Turn it up, obviously. (Kinda fun to imagine an alternate-universe where the Bee Gees break up in 1970 and the Beatles go on to have huge 70s disco hits.)

I’m not a big Huey Lewis & The News fan. That one kind of runs together with the rest of their songs for me. 80s summer fun… there are plenty of other much better songs to fit the mood. Turn it down.
Big Yellow Taxi – Joni Mitchell.

Eh, turn it up a little bit, I guess. The songcraft’s OK and Taylor’s voice is OK, plus I like the mix of bluegrass fiddle and big drum beats. But for god’s sake turn DOWN those harmony vocals – I hear them all the time on these Shania Twain-type new-country tracks and they’re bland bland bland, like the producer doesn’t think the song can stand on its own without them.
Carrying on the tradition…

Turn it up. I like Neil Young’s music. As a person, I think he’s a total doorknob, but his music’s good.
Continuing the tradition…

Turn it up for the last 10-15 seconds…I used to a own that record and that’s the only part of the song I remember (haven’t heard the LP since ’89 and can only remember 2-3 other songs)
Closest thing to a “tell me why” I can think of right now…
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

WeepingAtlasCedars, sir walter raleighNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. As much as I hate girl groups (they’re like boy bands who I also hate), turn it up because you got to love the instrumentation on that song, Phil Spector did more than just place the final nail in The Beatles coffin and kill Lana Clarkson.
