Can confirm, I liked the theme song. Very talented this one.
Aww, thanks!
If you’re talking about the song with aglets and lethologica, @HMBeatlesfan, then the instruments are lead vocals, harmony vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, bass and drums. And I’m considering overdubbing handclaps… So almost exactly the same as the Beatles’ setup. This song is unusual, as I usually include another instrument, like piano or french horn.

Acoustic, electric, or both. Also, if you’re going to add an unusual instrument, use an instrument native to Australia, your native land, like a didgeridoo.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Not that bad for a beginner, definitely have more talent than most modern day musicians, as you used actual vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and piano, although the vocals weren’t the most pleasant and it seems like you mixed the song in mono but used some stereo reverb, although I could be wrong on that one.

I never said my vocals were as good as Paul’s, though at least I didn’t use auto-tune! I know my voice could sound better with some practice. If shower cubicles could talk…
As for mixing, I definitely mixed it in stereo. Though my mixing skills weren’t as good then as they are now!
I’ve done better songs since then, that’s for sure!

I own:
A french horn with no identification on it whatsoever
A flute from a local maker
An acoustic guitar I bought of eBay
An electric drum kit
A piano from 1904
The rest I use my school’s equipment for. I don’t know their models, though I do know they have a Gibson Les Paul.

Great stuff, I like playing grand/upright/non-electronic pianos and also, do you record at your school or do they let you bring the instruments home. I sure wish my school had that stuff, might’ve prevented me from dropping out. Anyways, here are some cheap things you can add to your musical instrument collection to spice it up.

I forgot about maracas and harmonica… I own them as well!
The school allows me to record pretty much whenever I want, as long as it isn’t during class time. So I spend a lot of time in the music room at lunchtimes! My school is great for that. They give you a LOT of freedom, because they know you know if you do bad things with it, they’ll revoke your permission to do so.

Is this just an Australian thing because I haven’t heard about this great of a school before, is this a public school because if it is it is one hell of a public school and it shows that Australia sometimes truly does do things better than the US, such as how you guys have Tie Your Mother Down on your Queen Greatest Hits album. I’m not trying to sound sick or anything but is it true that people eat kangaroo meat in Australia, me and my friends were discussing this last week and I was wondering.

Yep. (Some) public schools in Australia rock!
In the big cities, it is less common for people to eat kangaroo, but in the outback where food is more scarce, people regularly eat kangaroo, rabbit and wallaby. Personally, I don’t like kangaroo or rabbit, as it tastes quite weird.

1. The heat. Where I’m from, it is common for it to be 104F one day and 68F the next.
2. The isolation. We get things 2 years after the rest of the world sometimes.*
3. The government. Having said that, compared to the rest of the world, we have a pretty good government.
I could list more, but they were the first three to pop in my head.
*My dad said the first Beatles album his parents bought was Let It Be , not long after it entered his local record store in ’72. But he lived in the outback then, which is even more delayed than the cities.

I’m not 100%, but that’s what he said. But to you that might seem weird, while to an Australian that is kind of normal. Though actually 6 months is the common amount of time we have to wait.

Thank you so much!
Dare I suggest it, because it won’t be terribly active, but should I create a thread of my stuff? It probably won’t get posted to very often though, because it takes a while for me to do stuff.
And then decide at the last minute that it is awful and scrap it and start again…
