(In re THC’s post saying ‘Money’ was the first uncensored swear on the radio) Unless you count the barely-audible shout of ‘F***ing hell’ in Hey Jude .
Today I learnt that dark chocolate works smashingly well as a brown crayon… a ruddy waste of perfectly fabulous chocolate, of course, and it does tend to melt in your fingers.

That makes me really sad to hear that you haven’t got any brown crayons. ):
I’ve probably got twenty brown crayons, and I would offer you some, but then I would have less brown crayons, and that would make me sad, too. ):

I never said I didn’t have brown crayons, @Little Piggy Dragonguy. You just assumed that I didn’t because I mentioned once using chocolate as a brown crayon. I have loads of crayons in many colours, including brown (not that I ever use them), but I just happened to discover that chocolate marks really well and it’s brown and looks like a crayon mark.

Well I’m glad to hear that you have loads of crayons (hope they’re all Crayola), but I’m still sad because you never use them. ):
Maybe instead of using pencil for your next masterpiece, you should use crayons. It sounds hard, but I have actually made some pretty nice drawings with only using crayons.

I’ve heard Pigs (Three Different Ones) uncensored on the radio before.

In 1936, music hall comedian Hector Thaxter became the first person to say “arse” on BBC radio.
How about Johnny Cash and A Boy Named Sue?
‘Cause I’m the son-of-a-bitch that named you “Sue”
Many consider “Sue” a curse word… No, no, no! I meant many consider “bitch” a curse word.
In 1969, Jefferson Airplane b-side to Volunteers, We Can Be Together, got regular radio play in the US despite including the lines:
In order to survive
We steal, cheat, lie
Forge, f**k, hide and deal
and
Up against the wall, m**********r
While the MC5’s Kick Out the Jams, which got airplay in 1969, opened with the line, often not cut or played in its censored version, “Kick out the jams, m***********s!”
And it depends on the definition of a “curse” word.
Many consider “damn” a curse word, and in Greenback Dollar, a Hoyt Axton song the Kingston Trio had a hit with in 1963, and got regular radio play, “I don’t give a damn about a greenback dollar”.
Many consider Little Richard’s 1958 Good Golly Miss Molly amongst the first hits to receive regular radio play despite its use of a term considered obscene as it was slang for intercourse: “You sure like to ball”.
The history of cursing and obscenity in media is a long and interesting one.

Jelly Babies were first called Peace Babies after World War One to mark the end of the war; one account has them first being invented by the Victorians, another that it was in 1918. Production was stopped during WWII and when they were reintroduced in 1953 they were renamed what we know them as now.According to some (so not sure how true and accurate it is) the colours are based on the countries involved in the First World War.
Because nothing says peace like eating babies.

Pink Floyd’s Animals album is based on Animal Farm, which is a book written by George Orwell. (In 1954, the novel was adapted into a cartoon.)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is that not slightly overweight?
You’d think.
Today I noticed that George was wearing a subtle little choker necklace in ‘Crackerbox Palace’ video, which prompted me to look at other pics from the period to see if I could spot the necklace anywhere else. Indeed, he seemed to wear quite a lot of necklaces during the Seventies. I found it bewildering that, with all the photo-gazing I’ve done, I never noticed that he was wearing a necklace before. I suppose I was distracted by those fabulous mile-long shirt collars I wish I had.
Surprised I never noticed how astoundingly sexy he makes a simple little choker look…
