New York holds the record for warmest recorded temperature for it to snow. Snow occurred at JFK airport with a recorded temperature of 49F (9.5C). The highest temperature for it to snow that is theoretically possible is 51F (10.5C).

I learned that Let It Be (Naked) is actually a very good album to run to.

I finally got the pun behind the title of A Spaniard In The Works today. I was rummaging in Silly Dad’s toolbox for a wrench/spanner, and ruminating over Anglo-American discrepancies in naming of said tools, when it occurred to me that the title of the book would have been Lennonese punnery for ‘a spanner (or wrench) in the works’.
Also that one of my friends would have been named Suzanna had he been female. Thankfully, he wasn’t.
Edit: I quite forgot — perhaps most importantly, I learnt the guitar solo to Let It Be (album version).

Water regulates temperature generally speaking — one of a few reasons it’s essential to all life on Earth.
I read that recently, so it’s sorta on topic.

So I finally got around to watching Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, and I learned that “Mademoiselle Nobs” is just “Seamus” but with a different dog and no vocals from Dave. Strange that they would choose that songs of all things to put on a concert film. You’d think they would put “Astronomy Domine” or something on there.

I know, right? It’s an odd choice, but the whole film’s pretty odd… and they wanted to include more recent material, if possible. Sometimes I think they picked that track for comic relief (…and Rick Wright on keyboards dog duty).

Yeah my friend and I were really excited to finally get our hands on the DVD, @Beatlebug. The disc was pretty dirty, so we had to clean it like three times before my PS2 would read it.
The best part of the film was how there’s a lot of footage of Nick so you can see that he was actually a pretty good drummer.
The worst part of the film was also how there’s a lot of footage of Nick because it gets kinda boring just watching him most of the time. (Though apparently they lost a bunch of footage so maybe that was all they had)

Yes! Nick rocks! Like the others, he’s no flashy technician, but he knows how to play the right thing at the right time. His style is perfectly suited to Pink Floyd’s music.
Also gotta love that seamless mid-song drumstick replacement action (go back and look for this — it’s in ‘One Of These Days’ — if you missed it, ’tis FAB)

It really only starts to suck during ‘One Of These Days’, when he’s practically the only one there. You do catch a fleeting glimpse out of the corner of your eye of David in the background at times.
Earlier today I learnt that if I drink copious amounts of black tea in the afternoon, I can’t sleep till 2 am. (I was yakking with my friends and the tea slipped down so easily… which is why I should probably avoid alchohol entirely.) I did say earlier today, didn’t I?
Never again, my friends. Never again. *waits for Starr Shine? to object*

The term soccer is a shortening of association football.
I played soccer for years when I was younger and I never knew that.
