Seventh president of the United States, Andrew Jackson, once killed someone over a horse race.
I’m actually sad he’s being removed from the 20.

Why? What do you like about him? Honestly, he was probably our worst presidents for many reasons, but the biggest for me is signing the Indian Removal Act into law.

But Harriet Tubman wasn’t even a founding father or a president so she shouldn’t be on there.

She’s most definitely a bigger inspiration to our country than slave-owner-and-Native-American-murderer Andrew Jackson. You should be happy he won’t be on the twenty dollar bill anymore.

I’ve heard of her, over here in the UK.
Think she got name-checked in an episode of The West Wing.

Okay now back to my point. Owning slaves isn’t right, but it was a thing that happened and was common in pre civil war America. Judging someone in that time for having slaves isn’t really fair since back then the social norms were different. They weren’t nessisarily bad people because they owned slaves, it’s just what people did in those days.

You can’t dismiss the wrongdoings of others by blaming it on society. Past childhood, everybody is fully responsible for their actions. There were people back then who knew slavery was wrong. The only reason Andrew Jackson didn’t is that they were useful to him.

He’s been on the $20 bill for 88 years, so it’s what most people think of when they think of the $20 bill, historical and nostalgic significance over morals.

If you believe that, then I guess you’re a pacifist and don’t realize that in math, two negatives make a positive.

What about mentally retarded people, are you going to say that if they do something wrong, there fully responsible.
Little Piggy Dragonguy sure is saying a lot today
There were people back then who knew slavery was wrong.
There were and still are lots of people who support slavery. Hell, even the Bible itself supports slavery, although they don’t mention white supremacy.

I think if we are changing money, we should make the bills diffrent shapes so blind people can tell which bill is which.
