Venus And Mars , definitely one of my favorite Wings albums. I love “Rock Show” so much! When I first saw @Mademoiselle Kitty >^..^<‘s username I recognized it immediately and thought it was a super cool reference.

Though nodding your head up and down for a positive/yes and side to side for a negative/no is common across many cultures, it is not universal. In some countries – such as Greece, Albania, and Bulgaria – it is the opposite way around.

The British Mark I tank was the first tank deployed in battle. 32 were used on this day 100 years ago today during the Battle of the Somme. It was meant to be 49 tanks, but 15 had broken down before the assault began. The majority broke down during the assault, with less than ten making it to their target.
Just how successful they were on that first assault doesn’t matter, the age of modern warfare had truly begun.

Many of the posts I made on the Snopes message board when I was in eighth grade and in freshman year of high school still exist on the Internet. I was under the impression that they had disappeared a while ago during a site move. I’ve been reading them back today and am really embarrassed at some of them. Oh well. You know what they say.

I was looking at the sleeve notes for George Harrison and saw that the bass on ‘Faster’ was played by George (as opposed to Willie Weeks, who played bass on all the other songs). Hum.
It’s a pretty good bass line, at least during the chorus — the verses are just banging on D for eons anyway.

…..That local independently owned movie houses are awesome. Just visited one last night to see Eight Days A Week . It’s an hour away. They only have two screens here. But they also have live music, a full bar and even yoga classes. Totally worth the drive. Might need to join the supporter program for this place.
Now, I don’t do yoga, but the very fact you can do yoga, listen to live music, grab a drink, AND catch a movie in the same building is pretty awesome.

I dunno. That sorta thing seems obsolete in the age of Wikipedia. I could understand it more if this year is 1998.
EDIT: …and the copyright year implies that it’s been around since 1997. Now it makes more sense.
