Offline I learned this yesterday and not today, but I learned that mmm likes to bring on the histrionics when he is found wrong but he plays it off like it’s a joke even though we all know it’s not.

mmm may want to ignore your insult, but I am growing increasingly tired of you pretending you’re no longer the annoyance of your earlier selves while doing things like this. If you have a criticism of mmm, make it, but if you don’t then every post of yours on this is just attention seeking bs.
I make a criticism, I’m clear about it.
I don’t think you have anything to criticise mmm for, and I’m someone happy to bump heads with him, but I know he never gives this forum less than his honest opinion. When he is found wrong, as I know happens, as it does with me, he is happy to learn, as am I. Something I know for a fact is that neither of believe we know everything, no more than @Joe does, or any other of what are viewed the big Beatle brains on the site. You stop being a Beatle brain the moment you say you know it all, at least so far as I’m concerned.
You have accused a moderator of this forum of playing self-serving games. Either stand up your accusation or apologise.
In turn, I will apologise to mmm for making more of an issue of this than he may have wanted. I find your behaviour out of order though.

Offline I feel sort of at fault partially since my post was the one that got us onto this topic. I just wanted to say I hope @meanmistermustard doesn’t take what I said about this too hard, as I was purely joking. mmm has a very large knowledge of the Beatles and does seem to know everything so when he made that mistake(whether it was on purpose or not) it seemed almost comical because of how simple it was. I have made a couple of other references to his mistake saying that “even mmm makes mistakes” they haven’t been meant as an attack on him. I do really respect mmm as a mod and a source of knowledge of Beatles things. If I have upset you, mmm, or caused someone else to upset you I am deeply sorry.

Very good point @Ron Nasty. I had an 8th grade science teacher who applied this to his teachings. He always said “I know enough to know that I know nothing.” Perhaps he ripped off Plato, but it is a good philosophy nonetheless.

This, so far as I’m concerned, has nothing to do with your earlier post. The simplest mistakes are often the easiest to make. I hold my hand up to that, as I’m sure others would. My objection is to @Little Piggy Dragonguy accusing mmm of “histrionics that are passed off as a joke” [paraphrase].
I haven’t communicated with any mod about this. So I may find myself in trouble here. I just think if you’re going to say something, you should say, and not make a “knock-down-ginger” of a dig before running away.
I just think if someone says they’ve changed their ways, they shouldn’t be so eager to stir the pot… especially when there’s no justification.

Please explain what you mean here because I don’t understand what you are trying to say. I would love to understand better, but it is hard for me when you use that tone. Do my posts regularly annoy you? I really can’t say I’m not the annoyance of my former “selves” as I am, and always will be, inherently the same person; however, I do find that I really am not quite as annoying as I was when I was in middle school. I do not know if I would necessarily call it a criticism, but as I stated above, I really felt that mmm (and others) were making a big deal out of a petty slip up.

Thanks for your opinion, it is duly noted, but I really do not feel that I owe you neither an apology nor a justification. mmm did not seem to be offended by what I said so I don’t understand why you had to make such a big deal out of it.

Offline That @meanmistermustard has chosen not to make an issue of your behaviour, @Little Piggy Dragonguy, does not mean others cannot question it. It simply says something about his temperament which makes him a good moderator.
You suggest there was nothing about your comment that was unclear. mmm said in response to your comment, post 1503, “I have no idea what that means”. In response you link to something – I am not sure exactly what, as it has variously linked to different word definitions in Merriam-Webster and a picture of Snoopy. According to you though, it was a “key” to understanding your critical comment.
Well, I don’t understand your “key”, and mmm chose to walk away from the conversation. That doesn’t mean he understood, just that he gave up trying to.
So, there was nothing clear about your explanation of your words.
You do generally make a much more positive contribution to the forum nowadays, but this I found unnecessary and negative, without any proper explanation of your comment when requested by the person you had made it about.
I apologise if you find my criticism unduly harsh, but as someone who can make such a positive contribution, it is disappointing when you don’t.

Flippin’ heck. I got one song title wrong and then, as i have done with nearly every other mistake i’ve ever made on here, i posted a highly sarcastic response and now we are here. What do folk want me to do, get down on my knees and beg for forgiveness ever time i get it wrong? If so I’d be doing it frequently. My reply was a joke, it wasn’t a hissy fit, a comment on any one else, a “histrionic”, a resignation, or a plead to the leaders of the world to disable the forum (hey, more sarcasm – sue me) or anything else. I’m not one for posting “oops, sorry”.
I’m sarcastic and never mean anything with it to anyone. Its well known around here. If you don’t like it PM Zig, Joe and/or Ahhh Girl and let them deal with it as is the forum way.
@William Shears Campbell, don’t apologise for apologise for anything, you did nothing wrong.
@Ron Nasty, I didn’t go into @Little Piggy Dragonguy’s posts as quite simply i couldn’t be bothered discussing something that is so trivial further having gotten nowhere in the few rounds of posts i did make above. It wasn’t worth it. As for being a mod, that shouldn’t come into it.
Now can we all move on and get back to something far more interesting and worthy like the colour of hot water bottles Ringo collects.

Offline There is such a thing as a pescetarian.
An omnivore who excludes poultry, beef, and pork from their diet but includes fish (and usually other forms of seafood like shrimp, oysters, scallops, etc.).
Because these people do choose to include meat in their diet (seafood is muscle tissue from a live animal and therefore meat), they are not vegetarian as vegetarians do not consume meat.
