Nena have never performed ‘Ninety-Nine Red Balloons’, the English language version of ’99 Luftballons’, live.

Despite having given in excess of 500 concerts over a period of more than 30 years, Nena has never sung “99 Red Balloons” live, even at her rare concerts in England, always performing the German version instead.

Yes and no. They may perform 99 Luftballons in concert, but have performed 99 Red Balloons live on television on more than one occasion.

Yeah. Waldo sounds a stupid name to me whereas a wally is a stupid person.

I don’t get it, either, because it’s not like Waldo is a common name in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico.

Maybe it was for reasons to be with Wally meaning fool, stupid or maybe it upset his feelings or anyone else who has ever been lost or lost someone or something.

As of today, I can now play ‘Remember A Day‘ (very clumsily) and ‘All Things Must Pass ‘ (not too disgracefully) on the piano. And the first couple chords of ‘Summer ’68‘. Yes, I went a little crazy with the piano-playing this morning. ahdn_george_06

Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, Futurama and Life In Hell, is working on another animated comedy series for Netflix.  Me being the huge Simpsons fan that I am, I’m surprised that I didn’t hear about this until today, as it was announced in January.

…drunk on music and laughter, of course. Whaddye take me for? a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Anyway, today I learnt that it is easier to type with a bottleneck slide on your ring finger than it is to type with the slide on your pinky. As for which I find more conducive to actual slide playing, the jury is still out… leaning toward the pinky though.

911 became the official U.S. emergency number in 1968. The first attempt at a national emergency number was when the U.K. made 999 the emergency number in 1937.

Why did they opt for 911?
