Oh how I remember that. The 3 minute wait whilst the little box did its thing and you sat there waiting for these weird disturbing noises to stop, hoping the connection would work and you’d be connected to this world where everything took an age to load.

And nowadays if a page takes more than a nanosecond to display we are complaining and bemoaning the extreme inconvenience of not being able to waste hours of our lives online.

Today, I learned how to play Now And Then on the guitar. (Hurry up and finish it Paul!paul-mccartney).

I also learned why it is common to see hedge apple trees arranged in a row in the Midwest.  It’s because they’re very sturdy trees, and they planted them in rows to block the wind and prevent dust storms.

Grunting in tennis is apparently a topic important enough to warrant a Wikipedia topic about it.

This may as well be the Pet Peeve topic. The grunting deems tennis unwatchable to me unless I have the sound muted. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

ahdn_paul_06I guess that’d be useful for chocolate easter bunnies.

Any chance you’re willing to go sign off a studio outtakes and demos box set for us?

This is gross

Anthropodermic bibliopegy is the practice of binding books in human skin. Though extremely uncommon in modern times, the technique dates back to at least the 17th century. The practice is inextricably connected with the practice of tanning human skin, often done in certain circumstances after a corpse has been dissected.
