If you look into someone’s eyes for 10 minutes, you really do start to see weird things…. If anyone tries this, let me know what you saw and we can compare. It gives you a weird feeling and might induce a sort of high. Read the article first: http://www.iflscience.com/brai…..10-minutes

Hmm. Interesting.
If I stare at my reflection for any length of time, I start to feel very weird… like I’m outside myself. Not pleasant.
Today, I learned to play ‘A Pillow Of Winds’. Well, sort of. I haven’t quite got it polished off, but I know the chords.
It’s in open Em tuning; takes some getting used to.

Today I learned that 5 of the 6 American flags that were planted on the moon (that is….if we actually did land on the moon) still remain on its surface. The one that is gone was accidentally blown away by Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong* as they left the moon to go to the ‘Columbia’ space shuttle.
Also, all of the flags are now completely plain white due to the amount of pressure exerted on them over the years, the dramatic changes in temperature between day and night and the unfiltered sunrays.
*You know you’re a hardcore Beatles fan when you accidentally write ‘Neil Aspinall’ first.

A white flag is a flag of surrender. Over time the U.S. surrendered their hold on the moon.

Love the Neil Aspinall comment.

Nah – just space hoodlums spraying it with white spray paint. The haven’t quite mastered graffiti.

I can now get through the song, but I find it difficult to sing whilst fingerpicking. I can sing it okay if I just strum, but that’s no fun.
Ironically, the most difficult bit for me is the middle section where they plug the same chord for ages and ages… for some reason I find it a difficult chord.
I also learnt that salt in ice cream is not cool. (Well, technically, it’s cold. But practically speaking, it’s .)

But why would you put salt in your ice cream?
I wouldn’t– it was an accident.
I like to put cocoa powder on my ice cream, and this happened to be a hot chocolate mix, and it contained salt. I didn’t realise until it was too late.
I’ve also had homemade ice cream that got salt in it from the ice cream making process… okay, so I guess I learned it a while back, but it was years ago so I forgot.

I made ice cream using salt and ice in chemistry in high school and my hands got so cold they swelled up and turned kind of grayish
Related to hands, I decided to see if I could go the whole day using only my left hand, it worked but since I left my right hand just hanging there, the blood started to collect and it became swollen and numb for a while.

Did you have to write anything today?
I decided in middle school it would be cool to be able to write with both hands legibly, so I started only writing with my left hand. A few of my teachers told me to stop because they couldn’t read anything I wrote, but I kept at it and now it’s pretty good and barely shaky.

I remember that. I think you mentioned it on here.
It was about five or six months back, if I recall.

People like you who actually ask questions and go through with it either end up making grand scientific discoveries or with world domination.

1. The word ‘colonel’ is spelt that way, but it’s pronounced throat-wobbler mangrove ‘kernel’.

Roger Waters has a ridiculously wide (over four octaves) vocal range.
Okay, I kinda knew that already, but here’s proof: it’s documented as C1 to E5 full voice, Bb6 falsetto.
How?
As it’s been put very aptly by somebody– I can’t find a proper source for the quote– ‘he’s not a tenor, he’s a mutation.’
