Same for lobster. I did not learn this today – is that a thread violation?

No, you’re fine. In the very first post ASJ said ‘some of ASJ’s recent epiphanies’. Folk post things they learned today… and yesterday… and the night before… ahhh, the night before… all the time.

Isn’t that sacrilege in what is clearly defined as a thread for what we learned today?

Otherwise I can post “I learnt to walk” and that was 33 years ago (give or take a day or two).

I learned that Pink Floyd were playing a live-in-the-studio jam whilst men were taking their first steps on the (light side of the) moon (way back in the day when they were considered a psychedelic space rock band).

That is how school has spelling it is words on a page made out of letters and numbers.

I learnt that at the end of Eclipse by Pink and The Floyds, you can hear an orchestral version of Ticket To Ride very faintly in the right ear.

Ah, you didn’t know that before? Yep, it was posted (by our Fearless Leader Joe, no less) to the Pink Floyd thread a long time ago. Silly Dad went and showed it to me over the big stereo one evening and when I said I’d read of it previously, he was quite put out. a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Some think Paul should go after the Floyds, but he hasn’t the time of day, I’m sure.

Even if Paul did have the inclination, which I’m sure he never has had, he could not go after them. It would be the job of the music publisher to go after them, and neither Paul nor Apple own Northern Songs. Northern Songs belonged to ATV Music at the time, and is now with Sony/ATV Music.

Joe’s told the mods that his site gets dinged when text is written in white. We weren’t going to say anything about it unless is happened again after last weekend. Now that it has happened again, we ask that everyone discontinues this practice. Thanks.

Sorry about that, I had no idea.

Is it just for white text or any colour other than black @Ahhh Girl?

Grammar girl, aka Silly Girl, do you think I should have said “everyone discontinue” in that sentence? It could go either way, I think?.?.

Obviously “everyone discontinues” wasn’t the best phrasing, @Ahhh Girl. It should have been, “so fecking stop doing it”. Much better.
