Never seen the clip of Ringo in ‘The Powderpuff Girls’, weird seeing him (well a cartoon version) wearing a dress – tho the bow in his hair suited him.
Saw this last night on ‘Have I Got A Bit More News For You’ – the Scottish accent is flourishing whilst everywhere else in the UK accents are getting mashed together. You’ll never take our accent.

The real question is, would anybody want to. Look deep inside your vocal cords and see if you want to take someone’s accent.

There is probably some legend in history where peoples accents were taken.

I learned that some people fail to read an entire email before responding to it.
Excerpt of my message: Please send an email to Mark at XYZ Company and let him know who is handling this.
Response: Who does Mark work for? Is it Mark at XYZ Company?

How to play Imagine on guitar. I only learned it because I heard this version and loved the Cmaj7 and Fmaj7 chords that make up the verses.

I learned today that Amazon pulled an ad campaign on subway seats in NYC which included the American flag around fascist symbols from Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Here’s a website: http://www.theverge.com/2015/1…..subway-ads

John would have liked Paul, well his voice, to have sung ‘God Save Oz‘.
We got one singer in, and he was all right, but he’d never had much experience recording – or singing actually, because he needed some experience singing and holding vaguely around the note. I can’t hold a note – all my songs are all sung out of tune, but I can get fairly near it sometimes. This guy was way off, but it didn’t work, so then I sang it just to show him how to sing it, how it should go, and we got this guy that Mal had found in a group called Half-breed or something, and he sounded like Paul. So I thought, ‘That’s a commercial sound,’ – it would have been nice to have Paul’s voice singing God Save Oz – but the guy imitated more my demo, so he sounds like himself because he doesn’t sound like me really, but he doesn’t sound like Paul either.

The national anthem of Norway, translated into English, is entitled “Yes, We Love This Country.”
The Irish one is “The Soldier’s Song“, it’s all about how we’ll die for ye old Ireland while singing.
Soldiers are we,
whose lives are pledged to Ireland,
Some have come
from a land beyond the wave,
Sworn to be free,
no more our ancient sireland,
Shall shelter the despot or the slave.
Tonight we man the “bearna baoil”,
In Erin’s cause, come life or death,
’Mid cannon’s roar and rifles’ peal,
We’ll chant a soldier’s song
I remember I was the only one in my year (of 80) who knew the words to the anthem beyond “soldiers are we/whose lives are pledged to Ireland”
Now yis have made me all patriotic

I learned that The Gruffalo was translated into Irish!
1.) Why had no-one told me this before?
2.) Why didn’t I get that gig? Just because I don’t have a degree in Irish or translations
I’m still hoping to get to translate Harry Potter’s 2-7 seeing as they never went past the first one- I’ll probably do an amateur-translation of at least the second one when I have free time.

I learned today that coconuts fall off of palm trees and float out in the oceans for several years. Then, they land on an island and grow into a new palm tree. That’s why there are palm trees on deserted islands. Also I learned that coconut milk is disgusting.

Related to the above somewhat, What is milk? Since both plants and animals can have milk and what makes it different than juice?
