I’ve been attempting to learn Hindi recently. The writing is just so pretty! And I love India. And sitars.
I think I may be becoming George. *shrug* Hare Krishna.

You can apparently buy a cardboard box of icecream.
What do you buy your ice cream in? I can’t even think of anything else they sell ice cream in at the stores where I live.

Sort of a weird waxed-papery tub with a semi-plastic lid. I wouldn’t call it cardboard, exactly, though I’ve seen cardboard boxes of ice cream (mostly party-sized servings).
(We are all going to learn much today about what packages people buy ice cream in around the world )

I just learned that there are different colours of noise.
Besides white noise, there’s pink noise, blue noise, grey noise, Brownian noise…

It almost always comes in plastic containers/pails, though for some reason my parents bought some in a box. Just a big block of it, and no other packaging. Like this:
Somewhat less surprising when you take into account that for some reason those out East have bagged milk. I could probably find some here if I looked hard enough, though it’s not as common here in the West, but geez.

WeepyC said that the folks in the eastern parts of Canada do the milk bag thing. Those bags must be tough to not puncture.

Also known as milkwatters. Invented by Du Pont in 1967, they became widespread when Canada went metric in the 1970s; it being easier to resize a bag, than retool to change the size of cartons and bottles. They account for around 80% of milk sales in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes, and about 50% of milk sales in Canada.
They now make mattresses out of recycled milk bags.
A thing I learned today is that Arizona has the largest State capital in the US.

Reminds me of that milk thing Norm gets from the vending machine at the start of “A Hard Day’s Night .”

Pretty much what you do is cut a top corner off, and put the bag in a pitcher, like this:
Just try not to spill. Or have it drip over the side. Or have it open and exposed to food in the fridge that’ll make it taste funny. Or, y’know, you could just get something less flimsy that actually has a lid and, y’know, closes.
They now make mattresses out of recycled milk bags.
Huh, I didn’t know they were even recyclable!

In honour of playing for @The Hole Got Fixed whilst he’s cooking Easter dinner, I learnt part of the riff from And Your Bird Can Sing today
My childhood dreams have been realised (I used to listen to the song and dream of the day when I’d be a Real Guitarist and Able To Play That Riff).
