Birds are largely insensitive to the effects of capsaicin, the component that makes hot peppers hot. Because of this, birds can eat hot peppers with ease, thereby spreading the seeds.

Just finished learning the guitar solo. I haven’t perfected it yet but I can get through it. I’m riding so high right about now.
It’s the fastest (and Pageyest ) solo I’ve learnt yet, so it’s an accomplishment for me as speed hasn’t been my strength thus far.

In the United States, 50,000 lobotomies were performed, primarily between 1949 and 1952. (Source)
According to the Almighty Wikipedia:
…the three Nordic countries of Finland, Norway, and Sweden had a combined figure of approximately 9,300 lobotomies. Scandinavian hospitals lobotomized 2.5 times as many people per capita as hospitals in the US. Sweden lobotomized at least 4,500 people between 1944 and 1966, mainly women. This figure includes young children. In Norway, there were 2,500 known lobotomies.
I’ll try to learn about something less awful and depressing next time.

The idea that drinking heavily causes a person to forget what they did when drunk is actually somewhat of a misconception. In reality, heavy intoxication temporarily renders the brain incapable of forming new memories in the first place.

The guitar strings that Jimmy Page uses come in a bright pink package.
For some reason, I found this incredibly hilarious.

Coincidentally, I went to a workshop last week where one speaker went deep into the history of libraries in early America.
