From the ‘Weekly Writing Reports’ I get in Grammarly, I learned that I have written 587,287 words since I started using Grammarly so basically since I joined the forum) which is the number of words Tolstoy used in War and Peace… a 1225 pages book!!! I have written a 1225 pages book full of Beatley things (well almost)! Some lengthy posts and PMs on this forum may have contributed to this number. Oh well…

The first part of ‘Over The Hills And Far Away’. I haven’t got to the solo yet, but I get great satisfaction out of the loopy strings of hammer-ons/pull-offs in the intro. I’ve noticed Jimmy Page has a thing for loopy runs of hammer-ons/pull-offs.

I didn’t learn this today but since I haven’t been on the forum and also since I think you guys would like this fact…
Dick Dale, Albert King, and a few other guitarists play guitar left handed but with the strings in right handed order, so it’d be like going into a guitar store and picking up a right handed guitar but flipping it over to play it left handedly without flipping the strings over. Here’s a picture to better explain what I mean.

The man who founded Little Caesars Pizza, Mike Ilitch, was a minor-league baseball player from 1952 to 1955. A knee injury ended his playing career and he founded Little Caesars in 1959. In 1992, he bought the Detroit Tigers (from the founder of Domino’s Pizza) and he owned it until his death earlier this year.

On 11 February 1963, while The Beatles were at EMI recording their first album, American poet Sylvia Plath committed suicide less than two miles away at 23 Fitzroy Road.

If she could have held on just a little bit longer she would have heard the lovely sounds of The Beatles.

The poet Paul Farley wrote a poem about it in 2002 in his collection titled The Ice Age.
’11th February 1963′ by Paul Farley
The worst winter for decades. In the freeze
some things get lost and I’m not even born,
but think until you’re many Februaries
deep in thought with me and find London
on that day as held inside a glacier;
a fissure where two postal districts touch,
its people caught mid-floe, at furniture,
the contents of their stomachs, a stopped watch.
At these pressures the distance has collapsed:
the studio clock winds up over Primrose Hill,
or the poet and her sleeping children crossed
the mile to Abbey Road . This milk bottle
might hold what John’ll drink for one last take;
that she’ll leave out for when the children wake.

For a guy that not just led a peaceful Revolution that is remembered heavily to this day but also just stood there while a white supremacist threw a swing at him despite the fact that hitting back would’ve been perfectly legal and would’ve made sense in that situation, this came as a surprise to me.

I was just messing about, and a thing came up that said “Are you sure you want to open 112 tabs?” so of course I said ‘Sure, why not!’
