That solo is pretty good too, although I prefer the solo to Time, mainly because I love that album with the prism on the cover.Thinking about it, can you play the solos to Time and Money.
They’re both wonderful in different ways. ‘Comfortably Numb’ is more traditional bluesy shredding, whilst ‘Time’ is more melodic.
Yes, I can play ‘Time’ and most of ‘Money’.

I’m a lot better at guitar than I thought. Today I decided to play Carry On My Wayward Son on my Fender, I’ve never played any part of the song on my guitar before and I played it the whole way through and although it definitely wasn’t prefect, my knowledge of guitar let me do a fairly good job for a first time, especially considering that I did a decent job on the solos.

Tug Of War in the Olympics, sounds fun.
Something interesting that i realized today is that most of the greatest guitarists of all time were the only guitarists in their respective bands such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Eddie Van Halen, and Randy Rhoads.

They were so great they didn’t need any rhythm guitarists or anything.

Hendrix definitely plays both rhythm and lead simultaneously, sort of like Robert Johnson (famously, upon hearing Robert Johnson’s recordings for the first time, Keith Richards asked “Who’s that?” Answer: Robert Johnson. Keith: “No, the other guy…”)
I have always heard Robert Plant as the second “guitar” in Led Zeppelin – imagine a guitar playing those vocal lines instead.

Yep, can definitely hear Hendrix playing both lead and rhythm at the same time, such as during the verses of The Wind Cries Mary where he’s throwing in these licks into his riffs.
As for Robert Plant being the second guitarist of Led Zeppelin, I never thought of it that way, I always thought of him as a singer. If anything, I’d consider John Paul Jones the 2nd guitarist because he plays acoustic guitar on The Battle Of Evermore while Jimmy plays mandolin, John also plays mandolin on Going To California.

I was about to say, in bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin where there is only one guitarist, the keyboardist and/or bassist often fills in the space normally taken by the second guitarist. Note the intricate interplay between Rick Wright and David Gilmour during, say, ‘Echoes’, or between Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones in ‘Kashmir’. <– probably not the best example, but the only one I can think of off the top of my head

The first Zeppelin song that came to my head was No Quarter. The electric piano from John Paul Jones is so haunting throughout and it compliments Jimmys riffing perfectly.
Hendrix was just a phenomenon. I can’t think of many guitarists who incorporated rhythm and lead guitar playing as well as he did. He was quite simply the greatest rock guitarist in history.

The reason why the last chorus of Don’t Pass Me By is sung a bit differently than the ones before is because there has been a mistake in the recording of the piano track. The change from C to F and back again is delayed by one quarter note (you can hear it quite distinctly one the Anthology 3 version at about 2:04) and therefore Ringo had to adjust his vocals. A better explanation is given here.

Beatlebug, The Hole Got Fixed, WeepingAtlasCedarsNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Lavender doesn’t really taste too great.
It’s always reminded me of soap. This may be influenced by the existence of lavender-scented dish soap but I doubt it, it just tastes kind of soapy.
