If you were to attend every home game in Chicago professional sports, you would attend 286 games annually.

Maybe I’ve been living under a rock all these years but I just by chance discovered the singer Nora Jones is the daughter of Ravi Shankar. Did most people know this?

Didn’t realize that myself. It’s especially strange because he was born in 1920 and had a son in 1942 with a 15 year old, then waited 37 years and had a child in 1979 and 1981. That means that he had children at 22, 59 (technically 58), and 61, which also means that Ravi’s son is old enough to be the grandfather of his sisters. That must be weird, being 12 years old and having a father in his 70’s and an older brother in his 50’s. It’d be like if Paul McCartney had a kid with Jane Asher in 1961 and then waited until 1999 to have another and then have another in 2003.
Anyways, John Williams son is the current lead singer of the rock band Toto, best known for their hit songs On The Line, Rosanna, and Africa, as well as being the backing band for Michael Jackson’s Beat It (Eddie may have done the guitar solo, but Toto does the rhythm guitar, as well as just about everything else), although John’s son wasn’t in the band until 1988, so he missed out on this.

I found out about that a while back. I was quite surprised.

I’ve been told this so many times by old people in my family, but I still don’t know who Nora Jones is, so that really means nothing to me.
Something I learned (not) today (but very recently): using words/phrases like “should”, “ought”, “have to”, must”, etc. is one example of a cognitive distortion (a thinking error).
All living things must abide by the laws of the shape they inhabit

The H chord only exists in Germany and some Scandinavian countries (I was previously under the false impression that it was most of Europe).
(Yeah, I know that it technically exists everywhere, but I didn’t know how to phrase it.)

The H is the flatted 7th i’m pretty sure. That is how Bach was able to spell his name through a melody line in C major.

Just now I learnt about the Parlophone black and white label, which means my copy of Rubber Soul is a 1970s reprint!

On the bright side, from this I could start building up a collection of originals, variations (and if I come across any) bootlegs and foreign releases.

To be fair, most UK mono versions of Revolver are a reprint as well. You see, for the song Tomorrow Never Knows , they originally used mix eleven, but on the day the album was sent to the cutting room, George Martin requested that they use mix eight instead, so the first pressing of the UK mono version of Revolver have a different version on them than the other mono versions. I don’t think they ever reverted to mix eleven, not even for The Beatles In Mono box set.
