Offline I’ve always wondered why Joe didn’t lock this thread during the great thread-locking (calling it a lockdown now seems wrong).
Well, having spoken to those on here that I wanted to talk privately privately, not that all calls went as I wanted, I’m sad to say I’m waiting for an appointment with my consultant to see if the cancer has returned. Two check-ups were cancelled last year due to the pandemic, understandably, but my doctor is worried that certain problems I have had recently could signal a return of the cancer.
There are certainly some worrying things going on and I can’t say I’m not worried; I’m not despondent though, as checking my cancer status first, given my history, is logical.
Just the waiting now for an appointment in a backed-up health system, as good as the NHS is, and hoping for the best.
No need to worry, I just wanted to let people why I’m less active on here than I’d normally be; having health problems and hoping it’s not the return of the C, but if it is, I’ve done it once, and I’ll do it again.
And if it’s something else, I’ll stick two fingers up to that too.

Offline Just to let you know, I’m going into hospital on Monday for a few days to have tests done to see if the prostate cancer has returned, or whether it’s something different. Long after I would’ve pre Covid, but happy-ish they’ve found space so soon and that I’ll find out just what’s happening.
