A colourised black and white movie. How weird would that be, if one heard voices without anyone moving their lips.

Silent actors still recited lines and moved their lips! They just couldn’t be heard. And what they spoke didn’t necessarily match the title cards verbatim…

Anyways, ATMP over Ram . I suspect it has better staying power, besides being twice as long. (Plus bonus jams)

Indian or Italian cuisine?

Whoops, thank you for the explanation @vonbontee, what a stupid mistake of me. I’d still choose colourisation, though.

On topic again: That’s The Way by miles, I love that song so much.

Granny Smith or Laxtons Superb?

Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

I Want To Tell You because it sounds so Fender even if that guitar riff is the only guitar part played throughout the entire song, by the way the working title was Laxton’s Superb.

Do you think that the working title of Help ! is from the line I’ve got eight arms to hold you from From Me To You or do you think it’s just a coincidence?

To answer Silly Girl, Venus over Mars. I like beauty more than war. Anything is better than war.

Anyways, Michael because i like Let It Be , it’s a great film.

Hmm, yeah I was more referring to apples in my last question, but it’s alright! And don’t worry vonbontee, it didn’t come across as outraged at all.a-hard-days-night-george-10

On topic:

That’s hard to compare but I think I go with rock drummers, although my hard bleeds when I think about Gene Krupa, oh well.

Atom Heart Mother (song) or Echoes?

Page is more important, but imma stand up for Bobby here, because he’s so often the focus of people’s anti Zep stance. Always with the complaints about screeching etc. What these people sometimes overlook is rhythm, phrasing, ad-libs, other notable things besides the voice with its occasional forays into well-timed hysteria. Plus Plant hasn’t been able to screech in 45 years – but he has built the better solo career through much of that time.

“The Lemon Song” or “The Wanton Song”? (Not gonna mention “The Rain Song” since y’all would immediately choose that one obv!)

The Wanton Song! The chord progression in the bridge is super awesome and I also rather like the riff.

Winston or James?

Bakery because bread is great.

When it comes to information regarding The Beatles, do you use Joe’s song articles as your only source or do you use multiple sources?

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

I usually just use whatever’s at hand, as I rarely seriously research Beatles stuff. Anything from Joe’s articles to books, podcasts or conversations on here.

Rose or Valerie?
