I guess I kinda feel that for ROCK GOD JIMMY PAGE to be wearing something so dorky as a sweater vest is like he’s saying he’s so cool, he doesn’t need to look cool!

Haha, true, but… that goes without saying so much that it doesn’t need saying, so he might as well wear that cool dragon thing with embroidery wizardy symbols all over it. a-hard-days-night-george-4

They’re both fine. I think I’ll go with Midas because of their expression.

Disc 2 because of Comfortably Numb.

What Eric Clapton guitar solo do you prefer, the 2nd solo from Crossroads or the solo from Layla.

Layla.

Grateful Dead or The Allman Bros?

(“Layla” solo was Duane Allman!)

I’m gonna say Grateful Dead since they seemed to have a little more variety. Hard choice – both have done stuff I like, but not nearly as much as their hardcore fans.

Surfing or waterskiing?

Both have their good and bad points, but ultimately I prefer the one with “Maggie May” and “Dig It ” and John’s ad-libs. Original “Let It Be ” it is.

*does internet research*

Huh, I had no idea that argyle was a pattern distinctly different from plaid – I thought it was just an alternate term for plaid socks/sweater/whatever! (Maybe I should go to the “Things We Learned Today” thread) Anyways, plaid seems to have more possible variations so I’ll go with that.

I didn’t know we could ask non-opinion based questions in this thread, she’s spinning clockwise.

If you were alive back in the 1980’s, do you think you would’ve bought a video game console such as the Nintendo or a computer like the Commodore 64 and IBM PC. If you need help choosing which one, remember that there was online chatrooms back in the 1980’s.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

I had a PC in the 80’s and learned the rudimentary BASIC programming language in high school. I remember chatting via ARPANET when I was in college…and then there were chatrooms on AOL and Compuserve in the late 80’s – 90’s. I also remember the old usenet groups, which were the precursors to boards like this one…but way more wild west in terms of moderation. I wasn’t particularly interested in videogames back then but was always interested in computers, how to make them do various things and particularly how to use them to communicate with others.

These days I’m always trying to find ways to communicate LESS – being accessible for work 24/7 is just tiresome…

Am I supposed to pose a question now? OK…

Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck?

In terms of day to day usability, I’ll go with invisibility. Super strength would make it tough to do everyday task.

Invisibility, if I couldn’t turn it off, would make me great a t practical special effects.

Tbh I think I will get more into The Who than I will Led Zeppelin (sorry @Beatlebug and @WeepingAtlasCedars, don’t hurt me a-hard-days-night-ringo-6), so Roger Daltrey.

Wizzard (Roy Wood) or ELO?
