Having a little Mel Brooks festival , I have Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, but just watched a great DVD transfer of Silent Movie (WHY is Feldman in a old flier’s hat?), and Spaceballs is next! I’m also renting out High Anxiety which I don’t think I’ve seen.*coughWatchTheProducerscough*
I’ve seen the original (I’m a huge fan of the re-production movie too!), and I want to watch that again, so it goes on the queue! I think Nathan Lane was an utter genius piece of casting and I wasn’t initially a fan of Broderick either, but he won me over. Also, give the soundtrack a go, Springtime for Hitler is a gas!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some dollies to not play with and some coffee to watch radar with.

I saw Creed today. It was such an emotional movie with beautiful symbolism, sardonic humor, and a great soundtrack. I recommend this to all Rocky fans. This is an Oscar-worthy film. I usually don’t like the whole boxing/testosterone situation, but this was so much more. 🙂

I don’t care that the new Star Wars film is out.
I have no desire to ever see it.
I have no idea whats happened in the other films.
I remember seeing Episode 1 in the cinema and being so utterly bored, cannot remember anything about the film.

Saw about half of “The Hunchback Of Norte Dame” (or however you spell it) during French class. Literally half the time I had no clue what was even goin’ on. I even got so bored I started doodling on my hand

I agree completely. I’m not a fan of Star Wars and I don’t give a crap about the movie. In fact, ever since the trailer was released last December, I went “Yup, not gonna go see that!”. Sadly, I’m probably going to be forced to go anyway because everyone else in family likes it and wants to see it. Oh well…

I also got to watch the film in French class. Tho the reason there was the teacher thought we weren’t worth teaching and it used up two classes.

I’m pretty sure the only reason we’re watching it is because nobody wants to do worksheets until after vacation. We basically did the same thing with Princess And The Frog

That is an interesting story. I liked the Disney movie (though the gargoyles were a bad choice imo)

Watched ‘Toy Story 2’ for the first time in an age over the last couple of days. It really is quite brilliant. I have ‘Toy Story 3’ recorded and will be watching it over the next few days.
Might possibly be the finest trilogy of films ever made.

The Force Awakens is incredible. A completely worthy addition to the legendary Star Wars pantheon. Absolute chills when the theme song first started. So good.
I’ve heard that – nice to know.
The only problem I have with it is that I would like some movie, any movie, to have a “they lived happily ever after” ending and stick with it. Never-ending struggles across thousands of years are all well and good, and I know we all die someday, but it would be nice to have one nice ending without a sequel.

I too saw the War of Stars but will restrict myself to noting that it is a good start and there’s going to be spinoffs as well as the rest of a trilogy so let’s see whether Disney can balance its greed with entertainment (always a mighty task).

Indeed – it’s kind of why I lost interest in some of the Star Wars computer games; why bother defeating the Sith when more will just pop up in another few weeks? I sometimes prefer my entertainment to be a little more hopeful than real life.

Guess who was forced to see “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” even though they never wanted to?
ME!!!!!!!
And, the movie was good. I’ve never been into Star Wars, so I really just don’t care. I only went because my dad and brother wanted to see it

Yep can’t wait 3 more days 🙂 I saw the orig in 77 and was as obsessed as any other 10yo for a coupla years!
Been watching several kids movies with 6yo Katie while visiting. Rio II was pretty great…Polar Express rather joyless / humorless
