I think I number 2 would have to go to Stevie Ray Vaughan. My mom lived only two miles away from where his helicopter crashed and she saw smoke the next morning rising up in the air

John Lennon . I was 11 years old. Grew up on tattered Beatles' LPs. My Dad woke me and said “John Lennon has been shot”. Spent half the night watching TV trying to hide my tears.
