Ran across this interesting clip from the 1964 Italian documentary, Malamondo, about weird cultural things in various parts of Europe — this one clip featuring a pop sensation at the time (1964), a singing group of four young Italian guys called the “Celentano Clan”, singing their hit “Sabato Triste” (Sad Saturday).
They only start singing at a few seconds before the 3:00 mark, but the first three minutes are a fascinating glimpse into what looks like a real live street event back then in Rome.
Their music sounds sort of like early Motown stuff.
Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...
