I have a recurring nightmare that I am at school and can’t remember what classes I am taking. I don’t know which rooms to go to. I know that I haven’t done any of the homework and readings for the classes.Sometimes it’s college and sometimes it is high school.
That does sound like quite a nightmare. On a related note, I’m so short that towards the beginning of the school year people asked me if I need help finding the lunchroom and stuff like that. I’m 14 years old and 5 feet 1/2 inch. Being short can be a challenge.
Reporter: Beethoven figures in one of your songs. What do you think of Beethoven?
Ringo Starr: He’s great. Especially his poetry.

That, and you’re 50 and still wearing short-pants, which is never a good look, but definitely not when you’re fifty…

I’m 14 and around 5’5. People call me “tall” when I hang out with people who are like, 5’10…
I just wanna be able to say I’m taller than Ringo… that’s all I ask for in life… ;-;

Soon… I still have a bit left in me… hopefully my not-as-protein-full-as-it-should-be veggie diet won’t hinder anything…

That’s a good height though. Not short enough to get crap from people about it, not tall enough to be constantly pestered about sports. And a size that’s easy to find in most clothing stores. You are a fortunate person.

Ouch… poor Ringo…
I’m guessing you don’t want to know how old I was when I passed Ringo.

He might not be the tallest, but at least he’s the oldest… yeah, still not a good consolation

50yearslate, BeatlebugI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’m 5’4 (that’s a lie, actually I’m 5’3.75 BUT DAMMIT I’M GOING TO SAY I’M 5’4). I was short in primary school, got to my first year in secondary school (when I was between 12-13) and shot up to 5’4, where I was one of the tallest in my year (amongst the girls, anyways). I initially thought that I might go to 5’5, 5’6 which I would be very happy with. But everybody continued growing when they were 14, 15, and I never did. So I’m the same height as I was when I was 12 *sad trumpet plays*.
My genes for height are very bad anyways, my dad is 5’3, my mam is about 5’5, fortunately my brothers are around 5’8 which is average Irish male height. My great grandfather’s family were all massive, massive men, 6’+ but my great-grandmother’s family were short and unfortunately we got the short end of the stick (literally) and we’re all slightly below/directly at average height.
Being short has very few benefits, you can’t reach stuff, you can’t gain weight or you look heavier than you actually are, and clothes sometimes smother you in the fit. Fortunately being short=small shoe size, and I can always find very good shoes for sales as the size 4’s are always left.

^ Aye, aye, aye a US 10 is an Irish 8, Jesus. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a women’s 8 before, the max would be a 7 which you would see sometimes, most women are a 5-6.

I went from being one of the smallest people that I knew my age to above average height in the space of about 18 months, but I kind of preferred being short. Be careful what you wish for shorties (my sticker use has devolved into complete randomness by now, but ah well)
