He was OK a little over 3 hours ago. It seems he logged on to see what kind of reaction his PM had stirred.
Does anyone who received the PM have any updates? Did he tell you he was OK and online checking this thread? Now that the police are involved, I have to believe they will find him and let mmm know what happened. After all, mmm had to give the police his name and phone number in Scotland. Not only that – attempted suicide is illegal in this country. Many eyes will be upon him, so hopefully he has not yet harmed himself further and will get the help he needs.
I am hoping for the best possible outcome.

Offline I thank @Ahhh Girl and @meanmistermustard for their actions today/tonight. While understanding the events that have, unfortunately and without intention, played a part in his muddled mind in what has happened. I truly hope he is allowed a path back rather than being punished with a complete ban for being ill.

I like to freak out American tourists by stating whatever presidents were born in their state (if any) and a fun fact about their state.

Georgia is the US’ biggest producer of peanuts, pecans, and peaches.
I also ask them where they recommend a young sprite like me to visit in their state. For Georgia, I got “the only place is Atlanta, great place to visit, horrible place to live!”

Offline I’m posting here because the James Taylor forum “JTO” is broken (at least for me, I’ve tried signing in and re-creating a new password 3 times, still no luck). Anyway, what I was going to post there is my question about the song “Turn Away” which JT recorded for his 1985 LP, “That’s Why I’m Here”. All this time I thought he wrote that song, but when I looked it up, it says that “Richard Lynn Carpenter” wrote it. So when I looked that up, it naturally took me to Richard Carpenter (of “The Carpenters” fame). However, the “Turn Away” song they had for Richard Carpenter sounds nothing like JT’s recording — neither in melody or lyrics.
Perhaps “Richard Lynn Carpenter” is a different person from “Richard Carpenter” …?
