Offline Since i really like my Beatles guitar forum, i was thinking about making another one. What do you guys think about a forum that is like the philosophy thread, pretty much a forum where people discuss political stances and taboo subjects and stuff like that, do you guys think i should go for it or do you guys think that’s not a good idea. Offline I quite like it. The two edits are at 1:50.05 and 2.06.37. (Yes, I do music sound production courses and can spot these things down to a 100th of a second… actually down to a 44100th of a second sometimes)
Overall though, it’s a good edit. The second edit throws the tempo a bit, but overall, it makes the song more pleasant. Well done, and thanks @Dark Overlord!

Offline I’m glad you enjoyed it and also that you could notice both edits, although i prefer the unedited version myself, i know that you think that While My Guitar Gently Weeps is too long, so adding the 2nd half of the final verse after the 2nd verse and fading out during the 1st solo shortens the length a good bit. Do you think i should try remixing another song.

Offline Great idea, i was thinking about making Bohemian Rhapsody shorter by cutting out that stupid opera section, i think the mama and rock sections are great but that opera section is like Mozilla Firefox in that i hate it and i think it needs to go, although oddly enough i like the Opera browser quite a bit, although since i prefer Chrome, i use that instead.

Offline Here’s an idea that’s bound to spark discussion.
Do you think that extended range guitars such as 8, 9, or 10 string guitars should be classified as basses, i think yes because the lowest note of one of these guitars can be lower than the lowest note on a bass guitar.
As a starting point, let’s take a look at standard guitar tuning
E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
Now here’s your average bass guitar tuning, an octave lower than guitar
E1 A1 D2 G2
Here’s your typical 7 string tuning
B1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
Here’s your typical 8 string tuning
F#1 B1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
Although many bands prefer to do this instead with their 8 strings, which already makes our lowest note equal to the low E on a bass
E1 B1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
Let’s check out your typical 9 string tuning, your lowest note being 3 half steps lower than the low E on a bass
C#1 F#1 B1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
Now lets check out your typical 10 string extended range tuning, your lowest note being so low that a bass player would think it’s too low
G#0 C#1 F#1 B1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4
