Psst…you know most hotel rooms have a Gideon's Bible in their nightstands, right? 🙂

(When I stay at a hotel, I like to check for one. I don't know why.)

Oh, and MND, Ontario isn’t a city, it’s a province (state).

Edit: StarWisher. I know, but still.

I actually meant Toronto, but sometimes I type Ontario instead. Don't know why, but it just slips my mind a lot.

It sounded like you had a good time to me. Who was saying you had a bad time? Mr. Sun King ? Maybe he’s still jealous… a-hard-days-night-george-10

No one said I had a bad time, but a couple of nice folks upthread posted something along the lines of “gee, too bad you didn't get to do much.”

I just wanted to make sure they knew I wasn't disappointed that I didn't do anything I had planned. You're right, it was a lot of fun.

I will admit I felt kinda bad for mr. S as I knew he was rooting for Vancouver. But, my wife and brother are both Bruins fans and I was happy for them. As for me, my lowly NY Islanders didn't even make the playoffs.

Lastly, I'm with you Star. I always look for the Gideon. If the room I'm in doesn't have one, I just assume Rocky took it with him!

That's how it always seems to be at a conference, though, from what I hear. You go to a city, and stay in a hotel, and…that's pretty much it. 🙂

Okay, I’m back in Ottawa, at my computer and typing fast. It was great, and I loved it. Also, Star, late hit much?

Edit: Looks like I've got the McCartney remaster assured. I might get another one. What's out?

Yeah, Star. That's pretty much it. Hence the wanting to go back to Chicago with the missus so we can really let our hair down  and enjoy the city.

Look at Mister Hockey Reference.

Glad to see your grades came though (he said, as if there was ever a doubt). Hey, S – being a hockey fan from Canada (the Holy Land) , I'm sure you feel some sense of history knowing one of the Original 6 won the Cup. I thought it was cool that I was in an O-6 city watching another O-6 team win it.

Pish…you know it’s just in fun. And Zig wasn’t around for when they won. 😀

IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK! Sorry for the in-your-face all caps, but my power has been out since Tuesday night and it was finally back on when I came home from work late last night. There were major storms in our area and part of one of the trees in the backyard actually fell on our roof, but there doesn’t seem to be much damage. Another one of the trees came very close to hitting my car. Apparently there are still 28,000 people in the city without power. 🙁 But at least I’m not one of them anymore! AH, INTERNET! AIR CONDITIONING! apple01apple01apple01heartheartheart

Okay, lots to say: first, thanks for the welcome back Mith. Star, you know I was being funny. I certainly prefer that a Canadian team lost to an Original 6 team over Tampa or Carolina (2004 and 2006, respectively), and Boston has a couple of players that used to play on my Ottawa Sens (Chris Kelly and Zdeno Chara), so Boston winning is the least disappointing outcome that could have arisen if Vancouver lost. And I know Von agrees with that. And Zig, thanks for the congrats. I never had any doubt, now I just need to see if I get two awards on Monday. We'll see. Oh, and I enjoy the bonus disc included on McCartney 2. Eapecially Blue Sway. Okay, I've got food waiting. See ya soon, and WELCOME BACK BLUE NICEY. Sounds like some killer storms. I've been ignorant recently, so I hadn't heard. Oh, and I'm still flying from Montreal.

Edit: Star, I meant to post this earlier. This is Randall Moore, an outspoken Ottawa resident who day a commentary a few days a week. I think he's a genius, and he's a Boston fan, but here's his take on the riots in Vancouver: http://blog.rogersbroadcasting…..hu-jun-16/. Enjoy.

Okay, update: I got the McCartney remaster, and quite I enjoy it. Oh, and I also got the Travelling Wilbury's Vol. 3 today. Great. Oh, and Zig,

Definitely.  I certainly prefer one of them win over say Phoenix. Go old teams.

I just saw Cars 2 earlier today. I personally really enjoyed and was a bit confused by why it's getting so many bad reviews. Yes the focus is more on Mater, but it has meaning in it. So what if it's not all about racing? Racing is still a huge part of the movie but the main focus is on the characters which is what movies normally do. So it's just really confusing me why people dislike it so much. But I'm probably really biased because I love all Pixar movies. (Actually most of them make me cry at least once during the movie.)

Sorry for the double post but I just found out something super exciting. The choreographer I worked with the most for our musical this year is now Miss. Indiana! I'm just so happy and thrilled for her! Most exciting news of the day for me.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Uhm, MDT, I think I'm missing out on something there, I don't get what you said. But I'm happy for you too! I think..

And speaking of movies, has anyone watched Super 8? I went to see it with my dad last week. It was one of those silly alien movies again, where the alien spoils the whole movie. I thought it was a little ridiculous, but I was laughing through the whole thing. Maybe because it kind of reminded me of Help

You guys may have noticed that recently, my posts have not included quotes, were shorter than normal, and weren't as frequent. Well, that's because I was on vacation and posting from my iPod. (We went to Disneyland… and on the way home we stopped in Vegas and saw LOVE! [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!] )

Next week, (from the 27th to the 1st) I'll be at camp, so I won't be able to post. (No electronics allowed, and I can't exactly post from a leaf.) I will miss all you guys! You are welcome to an apple from my fridge in my absence. 😀

Speaking of LOVE, it was an amazing show! (even though we got the highest-up seats in the auditorium) They were playing instrumentals before the show started, and it was really cool to listen to the amazing drums/guitar/bass/piano/etc. without vocals. They played “Run For Your Life ” (a-hard-days-night-ringo-13) and I thought of Zig and his rewrite. If there had been decent Wi-Fi in the Mirage, I would have looked up the post and sung along. It's a decent instrumental, and the guitar solo is well-played, but it's still not my taste. It's a bit folksy/country/whatever for me. a-hard-days-night-paul-7

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.
