It was, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Probably most posts on this site are to get attention. Even in-person interactions with other people are that person asking for attention. You don’t talk to somebody (or asK A QUESTION) for them to not give you attention.

I’m not spending 18 months finding and quoting each point made above.
@Dark Overlord, the best thing you can do for yourself is to find a way to accept yourself so you can begin to like who you are. How you do that I don’t know but it seems to me that a large part of your actions on here, which have improved but do have some way to go, stem from your inner issues and past experiences. I don’t believe anyone is a lost cause, however, and, to be honest, you’re fortunate that the mods and posters on here are how they are as many forums which would have banned you a while ago. That’s not a threat, there has been a positive change in how you have been and my advice is to learn from your past, take the negatives and use them to better yourself not beat yourself with them.
Additionally, be mindful of the language you use. Often you do have a fair point to make however the language used takes the focus away.

Both. One reason for the lack of swearing and demeaning language is that people of all ages, backgrounds etc visit and contribute to the forum and we would prefer they were not exposed to such terms being used.

Offline I understand although I do think that throwing in an f bomb can be good once in a while to put emphasis on something, similar to “frankly dear, I don’t give a damn” from Gone With The Wind, although I’d hate to see forum users swearing like this guy.

I’m not going to go into too much detail but he uses obscenities like as if they were pronouns, the obscenities in his series are supposed to be comedic but I’d hate to see someone speak like that on this forum.
