You're still in school? That's crazy! I got out like a month ago.
Wha…? You've been off since January?
I've had eleven days of school since April, I do four more days in a few weeks, and then nothing until September.
I was wondering why you had so many off, so tell me now. Why?

The first two weeks were Easter Holidays, which were 17 days long. There was a bank holiday at the end of the first week back, so we only did three days. The Royal Wedding was the following weekend, so I had a four day week. I then had three days, before a “last day” which consisted of standing around in our classrooms chatting in casual clothes (you might remember that my Biology teacher asked about the Cavern). Then we left for study leave to prepare for our GCSEs, which means we get about three months off, plus the six week summer holiday we'd get anyway.
I have to go in for four days for an “Induction Week” to prepare for the next two years, which I think will be really fun.
I told her I didn’t

No, because I have 1 more school day (but 6 actual days – explanation below), and I prefer to think of what comes before my last day in the school.
(I'm having my last day of classes tomorrow. The next two days I'll be in Montreal, and then it's the weekend, and then Monday I get my report card, have an award ceremony and a dance. So, tomorrow is my last day of classes, but not my last day.)

Oh Zig, how was the Windy City?
I wish I could tell you. Except for the cab rides to and from from the airport, I saw very little of the city. All the way there, I kept thinking about maybe hanging out in a Chicago blues bar or maybe going to see a Cubs game at historic Wrigley Field. What actually happened was I checked into the hotel on Tuesday night and did not leave it until Thursday when it was time to go home.
Tuesday night I was tired from the trip so decided to grab a quick bite and a brew and walk around town to scout the area. I had the brew, couldn't decide what to eat and fell asleep in the chair I was sitting in. Sometimes I'm such a party animal.
Wednesday, during our conference, I kept thinking about what I wanted to do that night. Then, it was decided for me. The folks that organized the conference arranged for us to have a Stanley Cup Game 7 viewing party. They had the game projected on to a huge screen on the wall, full bar and ordered tons of Chicago-style deep dish pizzas. Once the outcome of game was no longer in doubt (during the national anthems?), buckets of champagne were brought out and there was much rejoicing. Did I mention that the party was organized by Bruins fans?
So, I didn't see much of Chicago, but no worries. I would rather have the missus with me to do all of the “touristy” stuff. We will make it there someday, I'm sure.
That's quite the playlist from the concert , mr. S. Sounds like you had a great time at the show.
Also, good luck on your grades. I have no doubt you will be enjoying the McCartney album very soon.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

That really shucks Zig, but as you say it's better if you go with Mrs Zig and check all the good stuff by yourself.
I did that lot, I used to travel a lot for business and when I wanted to see more from a nice city, that was my next vacation destination.
WB BTW!
