It may seem that way but when you watch the Let It Be movie where they are playing the song live, you can see George playing the bassline on his Telecaster and according to The Beatles Bible, that footage was what they used on the album.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

I might even sit down and have a soda or hot chocolate with someone who can communicate like that.

Alright, it looks like I’m back on the Yellow Brick Road to success, guess I won’t be needing this anymore.

You’re getting better, @Dark Overlord (this looks funnier in the post editor but ohwells). john-lennon-salute_gif

I have noticed when I contradict someone, I will say, ‘I don’t think so…’ and state my reasons why. I seem to recall @Ron Nasty doing so as well.

I believe that I am always improving, if you knew me from when I was in elementary or middle school, you would definitely notice it as I used to have very low tolerance and even hit my teachers a couple of times. As for Ron Nasty, he’s the king of correcting and there have only been a couple of cases where he was wrong about something, considering he is an ex mod he definitely knows how to correct people without them getting pissed off and I’ll admit, when he does correct me I really don’t mind it because it’s so interesting and sort of funny to hear him correct me, like that time that I claimed that it would be unlikely that John would go on a world tour to support his Double Fantasy album.

Didn’t someone here create a Beach Boys forum? Or is that just my imagination and terrible memory? Or a dream? a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Here’s something that I don’t get, why does it seem like almost nobody had a computer until the mid 90’s, let’s compare 2 pieces of technology that were released the same year in the US, the Atari ST and the Nintendo Entertainment System:

Great 16 bit graphics with great music

Plays games on floppy disks

Copy games easily

Program your own games

Modify other peoples games

Draw pictures

Create music

Write papers for school

Online connectivity via BBS, so you could do stuff like talk to friends online, view websites, read emails, meet new friends, read about the current news, and even play online games and download stuff for free, such as freeware or if you didn’t follow the rules, cracked copies of full priced games

Many great games

DV-9 ports so there is a lot to choose from when it comes to controllers such as Atari 2600, Colecovision, Commodore 64, or the newly released SEGA Master System

$799 with a monochrome monitor (although you could still get color if you hooked it up to your TV) or $999 with a color monitor at launch

Average at best 8 bit graphics with average at best music

Plays games on Nintendo specific cartridges

Good luck copying your copy of Super Mario Bros. 3, if something happens to it, you’re in big trouble

You only play what Nintendo wants you to play

No making Mario look like James Brown and replacing the main theme song with I Got You (I Feel Good)

Although there are drawing programs for the NES, they weren’t released until later in the system’s life and drawing with a D-pad sounds like it’s not fun

Many great games, but for the most part either are better on the NES or would’ve been better on the NES if they were released on the ST

$299 at launch

Still somehow the NES sold 34 million copies and is well known by everybody yet the Atari ST sold 6 million copies and is mostly forgotten despite it being better than the NES in every way except for price.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

^ I’ve mentioned this before but I’ve got an Atari Jaguar that you might find interesting @Dark Overlord, it’s in pristine condition. I have a few games for it but I’ve played it only once I think.

It’s my go-to fun fact about myself, non-gamers are impressed that I have a console from 1993 and gamers laugh that I have still have such a meh console . It’s the best of both worlds.

I would recommend starting with Pet Sounds too, @WeepingAtlasCedars or otherwise you could check out the compilation I have The Best Of The Beach Boys which gives you an idea of their early heyday of ‘surf rock’ and the beginnings of the experimental stuff (The UK version of the compilation I have has Sloop John B and God Only Knows from Pet Sounds). paul-mccartney-thumb_gifa-hard-days-night-george-10

I don’t get it, I thought Amish meant that you don’t use modern technology (although some modern Amish communities have given in to modern technology).

They wear very conservative clothing, normally skirts that finish slightly above the ankle.
