So if you take a color picture and make it black and white, it won’t be the same.

Offline I’m in some deep s**t right now. You see, I got banned again from Facebook, this time for 3 days, for something I wrote before my first ban that I forgot to delete, what can I do to prevent future bans, I sent an appeal and hopefully someone reads it but I’m scared.

Offline What do guys think of this idea:
You see, all of this getting banned from Facebook nonsense got me thinking, why not I delete my Facebook account and make my own social media website that combines the meeting strangers and having human moderators and Admins of forums and the generalization and messenger related stuff of social media, the only problem is that I have no idea how I would go with this, hopefully there’s a quality free site out there that can get the job done just in case this site flunks.

Maybe the more productive thing to do would be to look at the actions that led to you being banned and making changes there.
Obviously, we here have learnt more about you in recent days, and understand you have your struggles. Many of us identify with that. I have never made any secret of the fact I have struggled with my own mental health at times.
Being honest though, and this is not intended as a criticism, maybe you might think more about how you express your ideas. You have interesting things to say, but are often aggressive and profane in how you express those ideas.
Were you to dial back a little, you might find your ideas more readily explored, along with far less chance of your getting banned from places.
You don’t always need to shock to get a point across. Often shocking the person you’re talking to actually stops them hearing the point because they’re caught up in how it’s been expressed.
I offer these merely as thoughts to consider.

Offline That was a great post Ron Nasty but I think of this as a wake up call to make a new social media site similar to how messing up HMBeatlesfan’s 1,111th post was the final nail in the coffin that made me confess and I feel I must go along with this and since majority rules, I shall go with the flow. The only thing left to do is to determine what to use to make this site and how to do it.

Offline Alright, I’ve started on this new website, following this video for advice.
I’m currently up to the point where I’ve downloaded all the files from OSSN but have taken a break to ask you guys for a quick how to. You see, I really like the meeting complete strangers aspect of this website and want to integrate it into my new website. I was thinking about doing this by having it so you’re immediately friends with everybody and whenever a new member joins, you become friends with them and also by having a group on messenger where the same thing happens, everyone is invited there by default, do I need to do this pre hosting or can I get the website set up first or how do I integrate this feature.

Offline Personally, I think it’s a great idea you’ve got there @Dark Overlord . It is always better to change or start something new than to moan and maybe your friends will join your network in the end. Additionally, you’ll probably learn a lot about networks and programming. But make sure that’s really what you want to do because it might cost you a lot of time.
