And then here in Vegas, we’ve decided to skip spring and go right into summer. Just a few weekend ago it was still “cold” then the temperatures rose to a normal summer’s temperatures. Today it was around 80 degeees F and its only going to get hotter probably for rest time that I am gonna still be here.

I was considering making covers (mainly Beatles but some other artists as well) on YouTube, but I wanted to check with my fellow BBers to see if I was worthy so here’s 4 audio files, the first one being an acoustic guitar and vocal representation of Nowhere Man , the guitar solo of While My Guitar Gently Weeps , a saxophone to guitar translation of the 1st solo from Billy Joel’s Scenes From An Italian Restaurant done in 1 take, and a slightly altered version of the intro to Fur Elise which is partly double tracked and partly done in octaves which sort of reminds me of Metallica’s And Justice For All. Since I am not worthy, I removed the links.

I was more complaining about how classical music is never upbeat like other music and how I’m not big into it more so than straight out saying it sucks. Anyways, did you listen to any of the songs, did you like them, am I worthy. Also, classical music sounds good and has a heavy metal sound when played on an electric guitar.

Offline Finally had time to listen to Nowhere Man ! (yes, that’s all, school is busy)
You’re more than worthy, it was great.
Tips:
1. The microphone is too close to the guitar, as it is too loud.
2. Most of the sound was clipped, so maybe move the microphone away from you in general.
Other than that, your guitar playing especially, is fantastic!

@Dark Overlord, you don’t need to be ‘worthy’ of anyone but yourself. If you enjoy doing it, then do it. If you don’t, don’t. No one else has to hear it and like it for it to be valid.
With that having been said… *removes Zig hat* nicely done! I couldn’t access the Nowhere Man , but I thought WMGGW was pretty good — the tone especially — although the bends were a little flat. I’d practise them more if I were you, and maybe try lighter strings? What gauge strings do you use? I find 11s (medium) perfect for what I play.

Offline It’s odd that you couldn’t access Nowhere Man but could access While My Guitar Gently Weeps , as they are the same file format. As for what string gauge I use, I use Ernie Ball 11s on my Fender Strat, any lighter and I would snap the strings within a week or two. I’m surprised you like the tone because it’s the exact opposite tone from what Eric used. I used a Strat through a solid state Marshall whereas Eric used a Les Paul through what I think is a Fender amp with the volume turned high, as the distortion sounds natural and doesn’t sound like pedal distortion. I also have an acoustic, a beat up acoustic electric that I repurposed as a 6 string bass which I am going to sell soon, and an SG which I am also going to sell soon mainly because it’s a righty convertible instead of a true lefty and the fact that I prefer Strats, especially when George used Rocky on such songs as Nowhere Man , Taxman , I Am The Walrus , and All You Need Is Love .

1. Will my Facebook friends be aware of this
2. Do I log into my Facebook or Gmail to hear a reply about my appeal
3. Do I have a chance of getting it back early
4. Can they report me for offensive posts during this time period
