Very good… it didn’t occur to me that it could be interpreted differently!

My cat seems to have an obsession with any candy I try to eat. It’s funny because as was mentioned before, cats can’t taste sweet things! I think the sound candy wrappers make sounds similar to how his bag of treats sounds when I’m opening it. He got some of my leftover chicken today, so I’ll consider that “candy” for him.
I wasn’t aware that Smarties were a different type of candy in the U.K.! I don’t know much about candies around the world at all, though; I don’t actually like candy much. Or sweet things in general. I drink the most bitter teas I can possibly find all the time and my mother thinks I’m absolutely insane for it.

We have US Smarties in Canada too (oh, yes, that’s where I’m from ) but up here we call them Rockets.
Rockets is what the Brits call arugula. Ellie and I discovered that when we were ordering pizza when I stayed at their house in 2015. If we had had a Canadian in the room, they would have wondered why Ellie wanted sugar candy on her pizza.

Me either, but name discrepancies all round the English-speaking world fascinate me.

Smarties in the UK is equivalent to M&Ms in the US.
And arugula is called rockets? That is funny and makes no sense to me. LOL

I don’t know. Coca-Cola, the globalist of companies, makes different drinks and uses different types and amounts of sugar for different countries. Vive la différence!

It’s funny, because Fanta (a Coca-Cola product) alone has about ninety different flavors worldwide, most of which are only available regionally.
