Another issue is that it was felt there was little more in the game than a list that would change by one + or – going on forever until someone gave up as most ended with two players going around in circles.
Also, there is a rule that games require skill, that game doesn’t require skill yet it is allowed.
It required the skill of adding/subtracting by 1! (The heal/hurt game, that is)

Even that skill was missing at times.
My favourite Madonna song has always been ‘Dear Jessie’ from her ‘Like A Prayer’ album and then yesterday I read
A number of reviewers have compared “Dear Jessie” to the work of The Beatles. Allen Metz, one of the authors of The Madonna Companion: Two Decades of Commentary, described the composition of the song as “pastel-pretty, [and] richly orchestrated”. He felt that the song would have fit better on The Beatles’ 1969 soundtrack album, Yellow Submarine . The Beatles influence was also noted by Stephen Holden from The New York Times, who labeled “Dear Jessie” a “stylish swatch of late Beatles-style psychedelia”. Joey Levy from Spin characterized “Dear Jessie” as “amazing”, describing his reaction to the song as “Wow! This is neat!” He added that the song sounded like Prince singing for The Beatles’ 1967 album Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Kevin Phinney from the Austin American-Statesman compared the song to the solo work that Beatles’ member John Lennon did later in his career. Phinney wondered how Madonna was able to come up with the song, since most of the tracks from Like a Prayer are full of innuendo and double meanings.
Explains why as most people seem to think it sucks.

I played Oregon Trail with John Paul George and Ringo.
Unfortunatley everyone but George drowned in the river, only a couple of miles from our final destination.

I was trying to eat Smarties candies when my cat rocketed onto the bed and started sniffing them intensely. I had to roll across the bed to stop him from devouring them.
Silly cat, you are supposed to eat meat. Not sugar!

Smarties don’t have chocolate, and cats can’t taste sugar.
Sometimes after I eat meat, I’ll put some of the juices out so my cat can have a treat.

Smarties are milk chocolate covered in a crisp sugar shell so have chocolate.

You may say that Joe is the rock star while the mods are roadies and the BBers are the crowd, but I think of it like Queen. Joe is like Freddie Mercury, the most important member of the band, whether he’s blocking unwanted threads like Bohemian Rhapsody (mama, just killed a thread, put a block against it’s head, pull my enter key, it’s banned), giving us a great forum like We Will Rock You (Singing we love we love Beatles), or giving us a Crazy Little Thing Called Love by giving us all the great things he has given us, although he is never on, similar to how Freddie Mercury can never sing with Queen again. meanmistermustard is like Brian May, always there to bring the point to the ground, whether he’s doing a Tie Your Mother Down and typing up a good little riff (AKA a good point) or he’s doing a Bohemian Rhapsody and is solo in changing the pace of a thread from sad to happy. Ahhh Girl’s like Roger Taylor, always there keeping the beat. Finally, Zig’s like John Deacon, not really here that often anymore, but a welcome addition when he is. Starr Shine? is like Spike Edney, not an official member (or in this case, moderator), but still a very important member. Ron Nasty is like that one guy who knows everything about the band and will state the right answer whenever someone has misspoken. And everybody else is like the crowd, there to get drunk and enjoy themselves.

Some of us younger members might decline one of those statements…
But otherwise, that’s much more detailed (and very true) than Ahhh Girl’s metaphor!
